@vc sir here's a quick suggestion... try making a frame with 4 frooti straws.... then but a dab of hot glue at the ends and stick the motor directly.... don't bother with a motor holder... use the thermocol of a Styrofoam plate as a base for the board... don't bother with legs etc, just the essentials...

Thanks team,

VC sir,
I have the below list of problems when i started....

1.Quad was not climbing up...(Motor to motor distance is 30cm...and weight 36grms...)
Sol: As satya confirmed that the motor is for < 15cm frame i reduced to 12cm motor to motor distance and it worked without any issues.

2.Quad was rotating in the ground clock vise and not climbing up.
Sol: One of the motors was not in 90 deg.

Congratulate me and have a good laugh at my expense - she is flying. Too ashamed to admit the screw up. My apologies Satya with reference to my earlier post/posts. SHE IS FLYING!

The reason for the Quad not lifting up with the new board was because all the props were spinning the wrong way. Simple desolder and solder again. Thanks to this project, my soldering skills have improved substantially.

Hang on, still working on it. The motors are not perfectly aligned at 90 degrees. She is off the ground but running away.

Dear Bilal,

Will post pictures tonight as i am not having it right now.

Satya has the pictures updated in his store.
I am using the satya's method, sketch pen caps as motor holders.(buy the small sized cheap sketch pen set...I bought 12 sketch pens at Rs 9.50 at Saravana stores here in chennai.)

anyway i will post some close pictures of mine tonight.

satyagupta

See if it banks and flips that means one side of the motor is spinning faster than other side. Is the frame well balanced?

Bilal

Satya bhai,
frame is well balanced, but the board is not exactly parallel to the ground due to the battery wires sticking out on the bottom..... I've put double sided foam tape but it still isn't level, can this be a possible cause?

satyagupta

yea it has to be parallel to the ground.

Do one thing, add some sided foam tape only on the corner of the controller. Just the corner not at the centre. Or just add at the centre not at the edges.

What will happen is, the wires that is going to the battery will have some space. I hope i am clear to you :headscratch:

Bilal every flying object should have a cg point... :)
And you should maintain that to fly it well...
But the CG is not the problem in your quad...
Check any of the motor is spinning slower than others..
Hold the quad using your hand and increase the throttle now just feel the wind and make sure all the props rotating evenly... Make sure keep the quad parallel to the ground as well as the control board..
