Hello all.. I want to buy a DJI quadcopter. Finalized on either the DJI phantom 1 v2 or the DJI F550 with E300 propulsion system with naza m v2 and GPS. Any suggestions anybody? And does the naza m-v2 have as many advantages over the naza m-lite as their price difference?

gunnu

hello friend,
i suggest you to make custom quad.. don't go for phantom 1 or 2( i have both and its just a toy not more than toy )
and using naza lite ( upgraded to v2 firmware ) awesome stability
i f want to spend less thanbuy lite and upgrade it to v2.. and experience same or pay almost double only for Naza PMU V2 module..
goodluck

Yes I agree with Gunnu. Don't invest so much money on Phantom. Instead build a custom quad with naza lite, firmware upgrade to V2. Though never tried the phantom or the inspire but I guess you would get almost same flight experience with much less expense!!

@meet2ami i have both phantom 1 and phantom 2.. and both are just a junk toys... the only thing you can do with phantom just charge and fly(behaves just like toy quadcopter). but with custom quad you can do lots of things..lots of setup DIY etc..

@gunnu that is your perspective from a hobbyist point of view.... if you wanted something that works out of the box without having to think too much than the phantom is a good choice....but that's just my view.... :P

what else would a non hobbyist want from their aircraft?  ;)
.

gunnu

hmmm agree with you.. but i don't think spending 60 to 70K for just toy quad worth...

Is the process of flashing v2 firmware difficult? What would I need to do it?
