Hey guys, this is probably my first DIY FPV mod in India using the very stable Walkera QR X350 Pro. First thing first, I never fly in populated areas or over people, luckily I have a farm outside Pune where I can hangout on the weekends and do whatever I want.
One problem with Walkera X350 is the LVC which has caused many many crashes. So I fixed that by following a very simple Youtube video and now I use the timer on my Devo 10 to bring back the quad before the battery drains too much. If you have or own a X350.. I suggest you do the same - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyRs6TiTdaY
For FPV I am using a 200mw tx with a Boscam RC805 hooked to a 7" no-blue LCD. It mounts perfectly on my Camera tripod which is flexible as a ground station in case you lose line of sight. I always still fly line of sight, the screen is just to angle my videos.
On the X350, I have mounted the cheapest 2 axis gimbal with pitch control. Both the 200mw fpv tx and gimbal I took power out of X350 board... helps to shed the weight of attaching a couple of heavy Lipos. And I am using SJ5000 which is perfect with Video Out and records on the microsd card. It's like a few hours work to get it all together but it's worth it.
