Hello!!!

So here is my problem. i am using a local orange and silver coloured 1000KV Brushless motor with 1045 propeller and  simonk 30a ESC and orange 5200Mah 11.1 40C Lipo battery. so, my problem is when the throttle of my transmitter is at maximum it is still not flying. and i was thinking to buy a better branded motor.

total weight of my Quadcopter including motor and ESC is around 2200g or 2.20 KG.

So can someone suggest some motor with a thrust around 1500 gram which can move the 1045 propeller and doesn't consume current more than 45A.

Mohammed Naveed

Your quad is just too heavy!
For those motor that you have a quad should weigh around 1.2k to 1.4kg at max!

I have the following parts for sale in case you need to purchase them

1) Tbs discovery frame : 1.8k in good shape no damages or cracks
2) Sunny sky x2216 880kv : 5k (4pc) used for 10 flights
3) Xrotor 40A ESC : 2.5k (4pc) fairly used

Can you please suggest motors to fly my quadcopter of 2.2 kg weight.

Mohammed Naveed

The above setup I mentioned would work for 2.2kg setup but won't be efficient !

Balakrishna Reddy

I made few quads using 2212 motors and the total weight was close to 1300gms. And that is the efficient weight ro be used with those motors.
You can reduce your weight by using a 3000mah battery instead of 5200mah.
If possible post a picture of your setup.

here is the photo
is there is no motor that can give me enough thrust to fly this drone

Shubham954

so is there is any motor which can give  a thrust of 1500g or more
if yes please give the link and if no what should i do , there is no part which i can remove every part is important
i was think to buy these motors

There are motors which can make quads this heavy fly, but as everyone said they wont be efficient in this frame. The ideal weight for this frame is not more than 1.5-1.7kg. If you want to keep the same configuration and sacrifice efficiency, you can go for sunnysky x2216 1250kv motors. The quad will fly for sure but will consume around 32-38amps at hover at 3s and will give you around 8 mins of flight time with a  5200mah lipo. Other option is to go with a bigger frame, bigger motors and bigger props which will give you much better flight times but will be much more expensive. And the best option will be to reduce the weight of the quad itself! I have built quite a few quads of this size with a gimbal.and the weight never went above 1.6kg including battery. My f450 with a 2 axis gimbal, weights around 1.5kg and has no problems flying.

Shubham954

Which frame would you suggest, and motors and props.
but what if i will use the motors that you have mentioned of sunnysky. i can see that these motors are available at a price of 1700 banggood but delivery to india is not available. so from where i can buy these motors.

and please share the name of the bigger frame for my drone and motors

YashasR

For the bigger quad :
Frame - S500 ; Motor - Racerstar BR3508 700kv ; Propeller - 1245 or 13" ESC- Remains the same

As sunnysky is not available you can get BR2216 1400kv from banggood and put on some 9" propellers as 10" can overheat it

Shubham954

the motor that you have mentioned Racerstar BR3508 700kv will it fit on the S500 frame
and which propeller should i use in 11.1 v input

YashasR

The motor will fit easily on the S500 with the provided screws and as I mentioned earlier you can put 1245 propellers on it

Shubham954

is there is any kind of case for this S500 frame
and  i did noticed that there are two types of landing gear with S500 which one should i buy links are given below

the one i liked is this one   https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32304446878.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.1db33c00H1co0C&mp=1

the other one is    https://robu.in/product/s500-multi-rotor-air-pcb-frame-w-high-landing-gear-fpv-quad-copter/
please tell me  which one to buy

and one another thing is that how much thrust can i get by using Racerstar BR3508 700kv

YashasR

The upper one is better as it has carbon fiber landing skids but the Robu one will work just as fine.
The br3408 with 1245 will generate 1.1-1.25kg at 3s and 1.3-1.4kg at 4s

YashasR

It's actually around 1.3kg at 3s and 1.6kg at 4s per motor

I saw your motors specs, they are good for entry level quad with no FPV setup. but in your case they are not enough, you really need to get good quality motors. stay between 800-1000kv. motors should at least work on 3s-4s to get maximum thrust and efficiency.

santoshsharma

I think 3508 motors will be best for your setup but you have to change frame.
I have used sunnysky 3508 580kv motors and s500 frame with 30A ESC. If you want you can contact me.

Shubham954

Thank you for your advice
i have ordered racerstar BR3508 700kv motor with 1245 propeller(carbon fiber) and 50 amps Hobbywing ESC and the same 3s battery 5200mah and S500 frame
thank you

rathode

Hey where did you ordered the motor from .
I am looking for the same motor. racerstart 700kv for one of my project. Do you have any you can sell/
