Hello everyone,

This is my first post on these forums, though I've been reading a lot of stuff from here. This post caught my eye, and hence introducing myself in here.. :)

If you're are fine with ordering from abroad, there are some attractive 450 size kits available, for example:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/F450-Quadcopter-Rack-Kit-Frame-APM2-6-and-6M-GPS-2212-1000KV-HP-30A-1045-prop/32403448598.html?spm=2114.13010208.99999999.261.kHvN6o

Less than $90 or 6k INR, ordered one for myself yesterday! I'm not happy with the ESC or motors included with the kit, but if you bought all of them separately, it costs around $20 to 30 more.

Do not buy just thinking that you are getting something for low price. The motors and ESC combo may not be that efficient and also the same with motors which means thrust per watt will be very low which will eventually drain more power and decreases you flight time.
If you want for college project then it doesn't matter but if you are serious and want to make it a hobby then do care about all these.
Buy some good motors and ESCs because you will fly with them many times and you want really nice flight and long flight so take care.

Yes, I agree with the above. It all also depends on what your expectation is from the quadcopter. If reliability is a concern, you should stay away from the cheapo chinese stuff. But if you want to get started with flying and willing to replace arms, motors, escs and a lot of propellers, you might want to start cheap and then upgrade.

btw, this is the actual sku I've purchased.. if you're interested.. It's similar to the previous link but claims to ship with better motors and SimonK escs.

Hi everyone....

The F450 is a perfect beginner aircraft. It is cost effective and easy to repair.Parts are very easy to get a hold of, and cheap. So a small budget can go a long way, and it gives a good taster in the world of aerial photography.
