I'm making a strong quad to carry 500gms of biscuits that can be fpv'ised to feed people far off..

status- have a readymade cum diyised 650 mm quad, weighs 600gms...
i have sunnysky 2212x's and dji's 2212's but i know they might not work,,,

a total auw of 2kg including payload...

what should work?

the frame

Both those motors are good for a quad with 1.5/1.6 kg AUW. Anything more than that will be make your quad slow and inefficient. Either change your configuration to hexa/octa, or reduce weight or go for bigger motors, probably 700kv or lower.

Your frame weighs on the higher side, Im using Sunnysky 2216 with a frame that weighs 200gms approx with AUW of 1kg approx which still leaves room for me to add stuff.

nice built , well mine is a heavy lifter, well the only question is, will it have any issues with 2kg auw? the sunnyskys?

In a quad configuration, yes they will.

roby

even with 10 inch apc sf it should give 850gms x4
that mean 1700 for manuevers and 2200-2800gms for packed flight right? 2kg shouldnt have a lot of side effects other than little lower flight time, right?

roby

well whats the domestic solution buddy? i've been struggling with issues like these for long

Hello Roby,

i would recommend you to opt. for a hex...
Quad motors will get heated badly and might toast , endurance will be very less.

4006 950kv motors with 1247 cf props lifts total weight of 6kg (1.5kg per motor)
divided by 2 is 3kg auw
total weight of a 650mm quad 1.5 to 2kg including fpv (weight may vary depending upon fpv setup used)
it is possible
no need to go for a hex

no offences....

the quad setup is very bad for this use, u should atleast get 35xx or bigger motors with big props
