Phoenix!

the topic pretty much says it all.I have a friend whose uncle has the Pratham 5 3d printer, my question is, can I use it to build a reasonably sturdy frame? I've narrowed my choices to carbon and nylon fibers which one will be worth using if any are? I'm a real newbie to 3d printing so if anyone has other ideas please let me know

A quadcopter is a multi-rotor helicopter that is lifted and propelled by four rotors and no tail rotor. It's the most common form of hobby RC drones. 3d printed object gallery

With their small size and maneuverability, these quadcopter drones can be flown indoors as well as outdoors. Besides that, at a small size, quadcopter drones are cheaper and more durable than conventional helicopters due to their mechanical simplicity.

You need to specify size class , and purpose of the airframe .
Popular frames these days are 450 mm  and 250 mm (measured diagonally motor to motor) for brushless quads . And for brushed , 110 and 90mm quads are popular .
I am mentioning popular because you can get the parts and electronics cheap for them
