STAVAN

hello
this is stavan desai from gujarat. I needed your help as my final year project in engineering is based on quadcopter. We have finalised a list of products that would assemble up to form a quad but we are not sure if this is going to work rather will fly. Can you suggest us few things if we are incorrect anywhere? Here is a list of products we are enfolding. This is an incomplete list.We are going to add up the transmitter-receiver combo but if any other thing is to be added kindly guide us.
Hoping for a quick reponse from you.
Thanking you.

Im not an expert here but I would recommend to choose a high discharge rated battery .....20c discharge is not good enough.

i think you should go for any battery above 35 c discharge...

good luck with your project......and show us some pics too....

Some points to keep in mind while buying parts for a quad:
:The total thrust of the motors should be atleast double of the final targeted weight of the quad.
:The total discharge rate of the battery (C rating * mAh/1000) should be more than the max amp draw of the motors put together.
:Buy atleast one spare motor and esc pair.

You might also look at the multistar multirotor escs and the afro escs.
It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic,
Of all things physical and metaphysical,
Of all things human and all things super-human,
Of all true manifestations of the head,
Of the heart, of the soul,
That the life is recognizable in its expression,
That form ever follows function. This is the law.

:iagree:

firstly decide on a frame as it is a major weight contributor.  ;)

just a few points. 5000mah battery is heavy and will add to power consumption rate.
instead you can go for two smaller batteries.
if you are targeting for a quad over 2kg then i think a 4s will do a better job or you will need to increase the size of the propeller to either 11 or go for 12 inches. a quad of that weight will start hovering at 40-50% throttle with 10*4.7 props.  :-\
also i'm saying this because i don't know what you're going to use it for... but the JST to 3x2mm bullet connector is designed to work with a 10Amp multistar ESC.
