Hello sir. ;D.I can't understand your question ???..But if u are planning to buy an esc for multicopter just go for SIMON K firmware esc..They are specially made for multicopters..It provides more stability than others...

Nik

thank you sir for a good suggestion ..  :salute:
my question is .. i already buy a esc and motor from hobbyking...
http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__6455__Hobbyking_SS_Series_8_10A_ESC.html?strSearch=10a%20esc
and it is non programmable.. due to these my multicopter dose not fly stable ..
is these a reason  for unstable my multicopter ?

SimonK ESC have a specialized firmware which does wonders for quadcopters. IF you check RC Groups thread they have provided instruction about flashing the ESC that you have bought with SimonK firmware.

Esc's run at 8khz refresh speed (like turnigy plush) or something like that, after simon k update it runs at 400khz i.e changes are made to motor speed 400 times per second as compared to 8 without upgrade. This makes your multirotor's flight much smoother and responsive.

The esc you have bought can be upgraded but it may not be successful and is also a lil complicated, however you can use the esc's as it is and they should still work fine.Response would be slow but you will still have stability if you setup your Flight Controller properly.

Nik

okk thank you  :)
i will change my motor and esc ...
simon K esc is better  or can use turnigy esc ?

satyagupta

SimonK is firmware (like operating system) it can be flashed on any ESC which has Atmel as its processor. Kindly check the link above provided by SideWinder

Sathyagupta sir, my brother is into multicopters now,and has the same question, just bought kk 2.1 board for him. is it strictly necessary for me to reflash the ESC or can i use just a normal ESC as is.

First thing: there is no 'H' in my name its satyagupta :banghead: :banghead:

And now answer to your question
Its not very important to use SimonK esc but trust me it does wonders to your quads.

Its not important that you buy SimonK Flashed ESC but they remove your trouble of flashing. So you just buy an ESc which is flashed with SimonK FW and start to use it.

You just have to calibrate the esc for the throttle (min and max value) very easy procedure.

And yes these esc are compatible with all the boards and the DT750 motor. I am personally using 30A simonk ESC with dt750

Its awesome

Nik there can be number of reasons on why your quadcopter is not stable. To begin with setup and tuning can be the culprit.
So try to watch and read more stuff about the FC you have used, and keep tweaking settings on your quadcopter.
Or let us know your complete setup someone will help you out or remember GOOGLE is your best bet.

As Satya said, Simon K are not absolutely necessary, its the same hardware, just different software to achieve as much efficiency as we can from the hardware for the specific purpose.

And Satya, I would be eagerly waiting for the arrival of multiwii's/apm's in your store. I am expecting competitive prices from you  ;D

Nik

SideWinder  ... yup you right .. there is a some problem in tuning.
then its better  i will very soon upload my video...
so some one can understand my multicopter problem ..and try to short out.. :)

Sorry about that Satya sir.
One more question. DT750 is rated a max 18A. so just a 20A esc would be suffice. or do i need to have 30A ESC for any special reason.

I have used 20A with DT750 and it never got hot. See that is the MAX rating but it never really goes beyond 15A-16A

What would be the size of the props that you are planning to use?

I think it would not but you can give it a try, as i used 11 x 4.7 for my quad with HK20A and i never had any problems what so ever.

Hi friend,

I just shared a post below which maybe help you.
http://www.rcindia.org/multirotors/basic-rules-to-select-an-esc-for-multicopter/

Cheers!

Please excuse me for popping in. I must mention that the PLUSH variety of ESCs are NOT able to be flashed with SimonK firmware. They can be flashed but with an entirely different system known as BLHeli.

For a beginner with no knowledge of ESCs and Flashing I would advise they stick with the Afro ESCs. They come ready flashed with SimonK. I should warn anyone buying these that they have only .5 amp available from the inbuilt BEC. More than enough to power your multicopter but avoid trying to run LEDs or cameras from your receiver. Should you wish to use these Afro ESCs then I advise you also invest in a UBEC to give you a reliable and better output of 5 volts.

It's certainly a good idea to look into flashing your ESCs or flight controllers yourself. The equipment needed is cheap and reliable and you can easily buy this equipment and have it pay for itself very quickly.

Good Luck and happy flying.

New Plush ESC's does not comes with Atmega processors thats why you cannot flash them with SimonK.
