I have a Quadcopter based on KK2.0 with a FPV system and I am pretty descent in flying it at around 10 feet from the ground. I wanted to Fly my Quad a little more higher. So recently I started practicing with my quadcopter and took it to a higher altitude. I accidentally crash landed the quad and the frame broke :banghead:. Luckily, all electronics dint get damaged.
I want to learn how to control my quad at higher altitude. Please Help :help: I stay in Bangalore. I would kindly request anyone who is good in flying Quad to teach me ;D

Nobody teaches anybody to fly... its just the instincts that you need to have and plus you have fpv.
Get a new frame and go higher again. Practice makes a good flyer perfect

whats your battery discharge rate ???if u fly your quadcopter at high altitudes , u need a high discharge rate battery.it prevents the quad copter from gravity  when u decrease the throttle.

My battery is wolfpack 3s lipo, 2200mah at 25C. Can please elaborate about why high discharge rate is needed?

If ur experience is shared, i ll be more careful while flying. I can be aware of what to do and what not to do while flying. It might save me some money.

kk flight controller has no compensation for battery voltage .so change the motor limiting setting and set the values to max possible .....without altitude hold, kk can do better performance with 30 to 35c lipo

Ohh !! I thought you want to fly them in the Hiamalyas, something I pland to do someday.

Check
1. Radio Range
2. Battery endurance
3. Any possible Microwave transmission above your head

Learn
1. Orientation

People have taken Multi Rotors above Clouds like RC Planes, something not recommended, so there is nothing to do with FC etc

I ll test with the setting that you and suggested. As far as battery is concerned, i will have to manage with this one for a while.

That is one sturdy frame you have got there. For my first quad i had built a frame from aluminium square pipe which faces a similar crash like the one in the video and it was disfigured badly. From what i know, the frame is quite strong.

Till now i have no plans of going to himalyas, but it seems damn cool now. All the best :)

Is learning through flight simulator of any help?

to fly high you need an autonomous FC like DJI or APM (many others around )

do be careful ... it is very easy to lose sight / orientation.... and then we will all be reading about you in the news
