hello friends.
i have a question regarding naza m lite.. m planing to use Simonk 30A esc from quadkopters.com with naza lite.. and confused coz as i watched reviews on youtube they said always remove red wire of your esc before connecting it to naza lite  :headscratch: :headscratch:coz naza has its own bec if you use esc with red wire it will burn your naza controller???   :help: :help:

thanx

I just saw this thread: http://www.multi-rotor.co.uk/index.php?topic=6779.0 This seems to be a common belief. There is some logic behind it since the FCB will need power from only one source so you might as well get rid of the redundant power wires from the other ESC BECs. Plus, the integrated BEC will probably be a 'cleaner' supply. I have no experience withe Naza but the kk 2.1 is fine without cutting the red BEC wires since it has independent power buses for the MCU and any servos etc. If you plan to remove the red wires, you can use them for LED lighting or any other things ilke that. This video might help you.

normally that will harmful itself.

First of all no regulators connecting parallel is not recommended and if all the BECs in ESCs Red wires are connected in parallel then each BEC have noise that generated by ESC and other ESCs will fight each other to supply regulated voltage.

is a normal case in electronics and regulators can be connected parallel using better load balancing and noise filtering circuits.

if you like to experiment then try yourself and post results.  :hatsoff:

i watched almost hundreds of videos of naza lite setup... some are connecting esc directly to naza fc and in some videos they says is is important to remove red wire ( specially esc which are flashed with simonk firmware ) other it will burn......
confused... what to do... posting link of one of the video..

simonk firmware do not have any direct roles in case of BECs(havent seen any BECs controlled by Micro controller and is always normal regulator ICs), But simonk flashed ESCs are too much responsive will cause more ESD should disturb regulators more and generate too much noise than normal in its outputs.

don't know what to do.. connect esc with red wire on without red wire.???

connecting non switched mode DC power supplies in parallel is not harmful, from what I learned.
As the ESC BEC is not switched mode, nothing is wrong in connecting in parallel , I use it like that, with out any problems in my KK2.

I am using Afro 20amp Simonk escs Without Cutting any wire from Esc.
That All esc's have BEC and never face any problems In NAZA m Lite.  :hatsoff:

Dont worry just Remove The Red Wire from your Escs Because of Naza have individual Power supply...

There are two types of BEC or you can say ESCs have two types of bec on them 1- Linear bec 2-Switched bec if you have a linear bec in your ESC you can directly plug your ESC servo lead into the naza without any problem what so ever but if you have switched bec in your esc than you have to strip off all red cable in case of naza .... Check your ESC product description page and look for Bec ! And mostly cheap escs have switched type bec such as the hobby king ESC and all afro escs have linear bec ...hope you get get all the best.

oh thanx bro... i am using Simonk flashed esc from quadkopters.. i think i have linear bec...

Yup!, this is what I said, linear power supplies can be connected in combinations (parallel or series), just like we do with cells .

but still we have noise to filter from 4 regulators in case of ESCs and never connect same kind of regulators(P or N) is series while their source is same without additional circuit.
