I am planning to install FPV transmitter in my POLARIS Seaplane Parkflyer. I need help in comparing 5.8Ghz Tx and 900Mhz Tx. Which is more advantageous and its range should be atleast 1km.
Where is it available in India?
THANK YOU.

Hi, i suggest that you go for the 5.8GHz one as 900MHz is used for mobile networks, giving you a lot of interference (thanks to augestine sir). Try Quadkopters.com for the whole kit. Very good service. Cheers!
IMO:
900Mhz system can go through any obstacles easily, but the cloverleaf antennas are huge and very hard to make. But its a good system when you are flying in area with lots of obstacles.
5.8GHz has needs open field or area for its. It works with some obstacles, but starts to give grainy effect when you have too many of them. If you join 5.8Ghz system with a cloverleaf antenna you can easily get to atleast 1km of range.
I have a quad with 5.8Ghz system with a clover leaf antenna. I was able to fly almost 800 - 900 meters without any issues with the video. I could have flown more but my battery was about to die hence i had to stop :D
EDIT:
Thanks veloci for recommendation :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

In 5.8ghz 200 mv tx n rx With Clover leaf Anteena
Which Channel Settings Is best ??
Can help me in channel selection :)
Which antenna are you using? from where you bought it? for which freq is it tuned?
I have clover leaf ,brought frm quadcopter.com ,
which channel is best ????
iam using gopro hero in my hex
Thats tuned for 5800Mhz freq, so you can use it for Channel 5 or Channel 1 for best results.
Ok thanks :hatsoff:
the clover leafs antenna on QuadKopters.com cost half the price of the 5.8ghz fpv system.
Btw has anyone tried the 5.8ghz system from QK?? whats your thought?
Aditya, the antennas that are on store right now they are cheap Chinese antennas. I am also getting professionally build antennas which are tuned for a particular channel/freq, which will guarantee a wide coverage area (almost 2KM) and a high quality performance. Those antennas will be priced same as that of 5.8ghz fpv system.
Satyagupta , where do we get those cheap Chinese antennas?

Is that cheap?
IMO you don't need circularly polarized antenna when starting out. I recommend using stock gear at the beginning. Antenna upgrade should happen pretty later.
