this will be a quad with coreless dc motors, i will source parts from hobbyshops and my broken toy quads
The aim is make a dirt cheap copter, will invest 2-3k in the entire project

roby

This is my entry for the 'Game Changers 2015' competition. will post details and pics soon

roby

inspired by mikeys rc, i decided to build a full foam copter  ;D

roby

some pics

roby

the controller KY x30r

roby

6inch props, the was no way to screw the prop, so glued them out with rapid fevitite
had trouble figuring out Cw and CCW system till i realised you just need to reverse polarity for opposite spin

roby

and last but not the least, a thermocol but super durable frame, used fibre tapes and locklite to make it ridgid

roby

roby

used fevitite for motors, the joints are super sturdy

Crashed it sometime back

Sukhpreet

oohhhh... Sad.......But i think most of the components that were used were easily recoverable...!

By the way if you can share some info about the fc and receiver & transmitter you use for micro PLANES and Quads ????
And the actuator.....

Oh yes, no damage to the components but the frame.
Dint have to go far for the components, I managed fc with an inbuilt rx and tx from intruder, a toy copter

roby

Bdw there's this guy called romandsouza, tons of awesome micro planes build
You can ask him

Sukhpreet

Great work wanted to know more about motors where did you buy'em.What about their dimensions please post a link.

roby

thanks for interest. These motors are stock motors of quadcopter UFO INTRUDER,
and most of the parts are sourced from this crashed intruder.
You can get similar motors from rcbazaar

Sukhpreet

SEE FOR UBERLITE SPARE PARTS AT RCBAZAAR.COM

Motors are coreless motor (4 to 6mm in diameter). You can use receiver like v911 , Batteries should be around 100mAh to at most 250 or 300 mah depending upon the size of micro plane. You wouldn't want it to be heavy for your micro plane.
Keep it as light as you can. Youll get slow and steady flight with  it.... (:|~

Hello Sukhpreet,

I said its tough to get a situation when you are free to go for flying and the day is calm. So for micros indoor facility is required.

However i got a rare calm day and could fly Micro ( 26 Grm AUW)
