Hi all. I am a beginer in to the RC world I have done a lot of research though on rc multirotors. What i want to do is make a rc plane with two large duct fans in the rear and two small ones at the end of wing tips which can rotate and face downwards to provide loitering capabilities.
Making a design is no big challenge.I also have an idea of what all i will need(electronics and all) but i want the aircraft to loiter stably.
so i want to know how to make my custom flight mode which takes input from gyros and does the adjustment in the side fans accordingly.
I am familiar with C and C++ programimg if anybody wants to suggest an aurdino board. I just want to know can i use Ardupilot V2.5 or higher and make my own firmware. And if yes then where can i find information regarding gyros and required aurdino code programong.  :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help:

thanks for taking out time to reply. I want to know weather or not you will be using any stablilisation program to stablize the loiter flight or you will just let it be on manul mode.

very good sir  :salute:

tilt rotar creation require top  skill and you have that sir.

how the conversion from hover  to airplane mode is done.

i mean tilt rotation and stability in the hover mode.

hi,

using kk 2.1 board currently for the hovering.

Do you use some custom firmware with kk board or what?
I want to use arduino with ardiopilot APM 2.6. I know how to control the motor and servos using ardino but haven't got any idea of the board layout. What i find on the site is going over my head. i also want to know weather the rc reciever is a ppm or pwm device and how to use its signal to control motors and servos. I can control motors and servos using analog input signals.
??? ??? ??? ???

This plane I built for eng student as final year project
using kk2.1
Tilt mechanism need some tweak but flies well
Yet to try forward flight
