Title: Help with FPV system needed
Post by: kushagrgoyal on May 04, 2015, 02:17:37 AM
Hi,
I have been flying a mini quad for a few months now. I bought it from quadkopters.com and it is awesome.
I've been using a Hobbyking 900Mhz 200mw fpv system(circularly polarised antennas) for this quad. I want to switch to a 5.8 ghz 600 mw fpv(circularly polarised), can anyone help me find some info on the range comparison for these setups?? any exact figures might help...
also, wat do u suggest, should i go for it, 5.8 is so good for travel.

If travel comfort is what ure looking at - First just try linear antennas on ur setup.
Range of 5.8 600mw should be same as ur 900 200mw. I run 200mw and linear antenna.
Circularity is important in 5.8, not as much in 900.
