I'm planing to make a 650 size fpv quadkopters for longer flight time! The over all weight of craft would be around 1.5 to 2kg or maybe more ;D! I need help to select motors for my application!

Thanks but my budget for each motor is 2k max!

Mohammed Naveed

how are NTM motors?
what are the criteria in selection for a brushless motor for a quadcopter?

ghoshatanu56

For a quadcopter the motor should have thrust such that the thrust to weight ratio of the whole quad is 2:1
That means
Weight of the total quadcopter =1/2x(4x thrust by each motor)

These  work a treat on my S500 build  http://www.banggood.com/4-X-SunnySky-X2212-KV980-Brushless-Motor-p-954481.html?p=2O21111526893201504H   11 days order until recieved

Buy decent once or garbage twice/thrice
I fly, therefore I am........

Guys please help me out in this one... I have a S500 frame with dji naza m lite on it and 920kv multistar motor with self tightening 9334 propellers and afro 30amp opto esc and 3 cell 2200 mah battery and it fly's well... But recently even at 100% throttle it wasn't ready to take off and I am pissed off! So please can anybody help me!

Are the propellers rotating in the current direction? Also whats the weight of your quad? a video might help

Calibrating the flight controller again might help

Yes the props are moving in correct direction for sure! And also I calibrated the FCB twice after this incident! Thanks for consideration! I really appreciated...I will try to post a video ASAP! once again thanks!

Check if the
1-propellers are rotating in right direction
2-And most importantly check if the Size of propeller is on up side or not.....The numbers should always face upside.
3- Check if 2 propellers are Clockwise and 2 are anti clock wise(Mostly propellers come in pair, ie one CW and 1 CCW)

Also check for configuration of quadcopter(+ or X)....Set the Flight controller orientation(the north side and south side of FC), motors layout(M1 M2 M3 and M4 accordingly)  direction of the movement of motor. Cw Motor should have CW propeller and similarly CCW motor should have CCW propeller..And the number (the diameter and pitch of propeller) should be facing upwards)

I have self tightening props so there is no way they are going in the wrong motor or in a wrong way...and I have flyed it a couple of times in past so no way the FCB I in wrong position... Anyways thanks for consideration!

Sukhpreet

Did u disassemble it ?
Or changed any part ?
Or Did it crash badly ?

You could try throttle calibration and battery voltage!

Sunny Kalyani

OK so I didn't disassembled it nor did I changed any part...but exactly a day before this incident I went to fly it and it was the ground, I applied some throttle and it was going to take off but suddenly It leaned towards a side, and two of the props stricked the ground and I just disarmed it... So maybe the two motor which stricked the ground are creating problem... Or maybe it is battery because I don't have any smart charger or balanced charger... I just kept the battery for charge on the turnigy E3 compact charger for the whole night (last night before the incident!) thanks for help!

get this :)
and never leave you battery on charging for more time than needed. It could lead to miss happenings
