Satya bro there are five ver available  1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 over default firmware but only two versions have major changes 1.2 and 1.4. As i know all new KK2.0 boards have v1.2 preinstalled. V1.4 has improved self level codes.  V1.5 has camera gimbal feature added recently.

satyagupta

So whats your advice shall i upgrade my boards firmware?? If yes then which version??

If it's flying good, better keep it as it is. I saw on rcg that some users having problem after upgrading firmware and some found it more useful. But incase if you want to upgrade fw later v1.4 is good. I have v1.4 flashed on my both quads.

Good flying Satya.  My only concern are the children around.  Since you are trying it out for the first time It would be nice if you could find a real open space with no body to distract you.  Only a spotter around.  That will get you to learn faster.  But otherwise great going.  I don't know if I'll be able to do that ever.  but that's one of my dreams as well.

Satya bro you have gained good control over it. Are you using fpv gear as well or Los flying?

satyagupta

I am using the HD camera from HK http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__17200__HD_Wing_Camera_1280x720p_30fps_5MP_CMOS.html

I was planning to use FPV KIT that i had in my store, but it had great demand and i had very few so i have to order that again for me to use it :D

Whats Los Flying brother??

Very good :D
Quick question, how much throttle do u give for takeoff? I only flew mine once but half I was going easy on throttle, about half way, it took about 5 seconds to takeoff, did a bit hover then I forgot I had to trim the right stick. So I left the left stick thinking its steady and hen it flipped :p not much damage, motor mount which I had lasercut from pvc broke but I have extra so no worries. But I'll work on it after boards, till then finding a simulator :p

So the hover depends on ratio of thrust/AUW (weight of your quad including everything)

I am using DT750 along with 1147 props generating 1100 grams of thrust each motor so its 1100 x 4 thats approx 4kg of thrust

My quad weighs around 1400 - 1500 grams so my quad lifts off at 25%-30% throttle. And it gains a lot of height with 50% throttle. I have never tried with more than 50% throttle except while trying aggressive flying.

For quads if you are learning then do try to get it at a height of atleast 5-6 feet (not more). Make sure that all your trims are correct. If you are using KK LCD board you can go to Receiver Test menu to test the input signals. Make sure you trim you radio so that you get all channels to 0
