hey fellow users

I will be attempting to make my first quadcopter and i need your help in it.
i have been reading around various posts relating to building a quadcopter on this forum and i am finally ready to start building my own quad. I am totally new to this

Can you please suggest me a good Motor, ESC and propeller combination.. also pleasse tell me where i can purchase it from and its approximate price. I live in Delhi. I cant purchase from HobbyKing becasuse it takes a lot of time to deliver and i want to get started on  the quad within this week> If any site can deliver the products within a week, i wont mind Purchasing them from the site.

I plan on building the frame on my own using an circular acrylic sheet and 4 aluminium arms. so I expect it to not weigh too much..
I wont be using  my quad for arial photography or anything like that.  just simple flying and hovering

Thanks

VC

Contact Mr. V.K.Singh on this forum. He will be able to supply the Motors, ESC's, Props, Adapters, Battery and Controller Board. He can also guide you on the build. Check out his site www.rcelectro.com.

try my setup. i havent started working on it. 750 kv motor with 25a red brick. in programming they are similar to plush. get kk2 board. highly recomanded. but if you cant get kk board. its gyros are not good as i86 but it will give you lots of support from community.dont get those black hk plastic electric prop. get 10x4.5 props. they are generally designed for quads. but those are out of stock on hk and rcdhamaca as i got the last one ;-)  acrylic can be heavy.

All the best

Here is our suggestion.

In case you are interested in assembling one and fly successfully, visit www.spherehobbies.com/india.

We guarantee, YES, guarantee that your first attempt would be successful after installing NAZA board of DJI.

You might like to visit http://www.dji-innovations.com/ for the entire product line up and details of multi-rotors.

Programming the NAZA board is as easy as 123 and chances of failure are next to none. The best part of all is that you have the liberty to add the features like GPS to same board. No additional purchase would be necessary. To get GPS navigation, simply buy NAZA GPS module, install on your copter plug it with NAZA, calibrate it and ready to fly!! No other product is as simple as this.

To add more, let us tell you an another feature of NAZA. When you buy NAZA control board, you would also get 2 axis camera gimbals stabilization output with it. If you are planning to put the camera on your copter, this is the correct way to go.

You can also purchase separate motors, esc, propellers, circuit board, copter arm  etc.. from us. Entire product back up when you need it. Propellers 10 X 4.5 and 8 X 4.5 in stock.

Check it out @ www.spherehobbies.com/india

Regards to you all.

Thanks for your feedback. Though I found the products listed in these websites to be a bit costly. And sinc ethos is my first quad, I would like to spend a little less on it.
Looking for some More suggestions

First you will have to choose motors, rest depends on motor selection bro.

First you will have to choose motors, rest depends on motor selection bro.

Rather, first choose what you want to make the quad for: fast and aerobatic flying / stable/ heavylift.
Then choose your motors and as Dharmik said rest depends on motor selection,
for #1, go for high kv (>1200) motors on small props
For #2 and #3, go for smaller kv bigger props.

And, budget also largely determines your choice of motors.

i want my quad to have a stable liftoff
not interested in aerobic  flying

i was thinking about this  motor
http://www.rcelectro.com/index.php/brushless-motors/turnigy-d2836-11-750kv-brushless-outrunner-motor-detail
how is it?

or if you could suggest any other motor, i will be very grateful

hyd_quads

Yeah, that d2836 is a good motor. But always take your own decision and  consider almost all the options before buying. Good luck!

pulkit123

this is my first time so im not that experienced nor do i have sufficient knowledge.
it would be great if  you all  guide me on this forum :)

Dharmik

The motor you have posted above is really nice. There are so many options available, so at last it depends on your budget. If there is no budget restriction you can buy T-motors, NTM, sunnysky, pane cake size motor.

Wow, those Tiger motors being heavily advertised!!! They look so well-built, they say they're made especially for multirotors and the range is wide. A superb choice if you're ready to shell out lot of $$$. ;D

hyd_quads

Wow, you're stocking some of the costliest and expensive inventory (DJI Wookong, etc.) , good luck!

SphereHobbies

@ hyd_quads

It is not the cost. Favorable and positive progress can be made only with quality products. Inferior quality product leads to confusion, chaos and incorrect conclusions. Eventually by buying inferior quality, we spend more time, money and efforts.

We have been paying attention on all your comments. Please keep up the good work.

I guess you understood me the other way, I meant to say that you're indeed helping the ace quad/tri guys in India by stocking what they (they, not everyone) need. I even referred three Ahmedabadis to you (they didn't even know there was an LHS in Ahmd) by giving your Ph, address, etc. No confusion in my post. :)
