Hi all,

I configured the hexacopter will all the settings and tried for first lift off.

step by step
1. Transmitter on and throttle stick lower position.
2. Receiver on. waited for esc and flight controller to initialize.
ESC tones indicating 4s lipo and Naza with RED, RED & RED for manual control.

3. throttle slowly increased to 50%, hexacopter behaving either tilting forward or backward.
Trying to figure out, what was going on . I initially thought it was the center of gravity of battery.
I tried moving battery forward  and tried lift off.. hexacopter was pitching forward.
then tried battery little back. hexacopter pitched back.

Then searched internet, trying to find center of gravity to position battery.

Meanwhile, tried looking into Naza flight controller manual.
In last few pages of manual, they have example gains for f550 for different battery setups.

I used the setup for 4S, since my battery was 4S 5000man battery.
I used gains as given in manual.
Weight  Pitch  Roll  Yaw  Vertical  Pitch  Roll
1530g  170    170  150     140     170   170

After setting the gains and writing to flight controller.
I tried for lift off. Slowly increasing throttle to & above 50%.

Hexacopter lifted up superb smooth. Not even a single jerk.

Will post video of liftoff soon... I had to recharge battery to test flight time...

nice built  {:)}   , buy a sim, have some practice ..and try flying your quad a bit crazy ;D  :giggle:

also was this altitude mode? because gps behaves much more agile... well here's mine with naza v1

Thank You utkarshg13 and Roby.

Yet to do some real flight tests and flight time.

the little vibrations, are they not just tuned or this is how lite behaves? ur not using gimbal, are you?

dheerajramaraju

I later figured out that, the vibrations are because I am using a lesser weight camera for my gimbal.
So couldn't get rid of vibrations because of cam weight.

But overall, very satisfied with flight.
