I just built an emax 250 kit but I used a flip32 instead of the CC3D it came with.
It went together fine, setup the naze32 with cleanflight fine, calibrated gyro, mag and esc's.
When I go to take off it wobbles violently and throttle surges, then crashes if I don't land quick!
In cleanflight on the motor tab, individually, the motors work fine and all start at the same number, together they all start and run in sync, when I control the throttle from my frsky tx the motors start but are up and down all differently, not the same as you would expect when the thing is level.
The cleanflight 3D model seems to follow the quads movements ok.
Im ripping my hair out!
I cant wait to fly it,
Any help would be great!
Is there anyone local to Delhi?
Please help.

Setup is
Emax 250 (Nighthawk 250)
Emax 1806 2300kv motors
Emax simon series 12A ESCs
Full flip 32
2200mah 3s battery

that used to be the issue before i tuned mine. it would violently climb and just crash. I needed to tune my PID to make it fly in any mode. before tuning i could not even take off in angle or acro mode, horizon was somewhat ok but still extremely unsteady.

Okay, you had a nighthawk?
My motors sometimes won't start at the same time
Also at zero throttle if I will tilt the copter motors will try to self balance, yes at zero throttle

I have the nighthawk clone. I was just rebuilding mine with new motors esc and pdb.

its not very stable since im still learning to tune but it should get you in the air. battery mounted on top plate.

my setup is

nighthawk 250 cf frame (Clone)
cobra 2204 2300kv motors
and the Little bees are gonna reach me tomorrow.

Update, caliberated escs and no more uneven throttles
Fixed drift by setting deadband

It flies, but wobbles. Needs some tuning
Will update soon

For nighthawk it's very low powered motors you should have 2204... I have same nighthawk emax kit with emax 2204 motors.
thanks,

Nope. I use 1806 motors(DYS 2300kv) and I have loads of thrust. The quad lifts off at 45% throttle, stable hover like 3 feet off the ground at 50% throttle. So these motors shouldnt be a problem
Please dont update an old thread which has its problem already sorted out

His wobbling problem is not sorted our yet... any ways ... what esc and props are you using? And 3 or 4s? I had 1806 3s on zmr 250 it was under powered. .

This thread was last updated in April. He would have fixed the problem by now. Btw. I am using 3S with simon series 12A and HQ 5045's. The motors get pretty hot after a good 10-12 mins flight that I get with a 1800mAh 45c bonka. I will step down to 5040 props preferably DAL or HQ as 5045's are a bit heavy on those motors.
