Hey guys

I am building a quadcopter and wanted to know is if there was a proper method to decide the 'Motor-to-Motor' distance?

P.S - I will be using the "EMAX CF 2822 - 1200KV" running "8X4.5 Props"
Any suggestions for the motor to motor distance for this config?

Thanks

a better prop for cf2822 is recommended 10*4.5... your current ones will give less thrust... you can make it 450 size.... ie motor to motor will be 450mm or 45 cm

Thanks !
Ill do that!:)
And wwhat's the difference between a normal prop and a slow fly prop?

And is tthere a general method to find the motor to motor distance?

depends on your choice.
like the minimum size is 9-10inches if you use 8" propeller.

we usually choose the frame first and the motor and then the propeller accordingly..

I'm going to be building the frame myself!
So can change it to how much ever I want :)

if your building it yourself, you'll have to watch weight, balance and vibration reduction... the last thing you need is your quad oscillating out of control because of a poorly built frame...

do you know any guides where they have covered the basic points as to how I will achieve all the things you mentioned above?

hmm... not really.. I'm more of a plane person :P but I'm sure you'll find a lot by using Google... also if you find something then please share it here so everyone can benefit from it... :D
