Title: quad draining battery
Post by: rustydusty on March 08, 2015, 02:11:45 PM
Of late my quad has started draining my battery within 10 mins. Earlier I used to get already 20 mins. I have a450 quad with kk2.1 and sunny sky 980kv motors. I even tried changing the battery but no improvement. I use 3300mah battery.
Please advise.

Auw1.2kg 3s battery. But the point is that earlier I was getting more flight time. Then I had a Nasty fall. After that my flight time reduced. Checked motors but no damage.

It is happening on my other battery as well. So fault is not with the battery but with the quad.

Check motor and esc for heat after a flight. Could have damaged motor bearings resulting in resistance.

check your motor that had the impact, stator on my sunnysky came loose on my quad when i crashed (lost control suddenly - or maybe it creshed because the stator came loose, dont kno.) stator and bearing should be at the same level , when stator becomes loose, stator comes above the bearing , just haammer it down carefully and introduce a drop of epoxy under the stator where wires come out. (thats what i did ,and had no problems after that also shot sunburn ;) )
