Hello Friends,

Recently upgraded my kk2.0 quad to naza m lite (upgraded to version 2.0 firmware). Here are the specs:

Sunny Sky X2212 980kv motors
8045 props
3300 mAh 4S lipo
F-30A SimonK flashed ESCs
F450 frame
Orange T-six Tx and R615 Rx

Had a maiden test flight today. Flew smoothly with out any glitches. Very stable and in control. Tested both GPS and Atti modes. All OK. Didn't try the manual mode though. Couldn't test the failsafe mode as my Rx doesn't support failsafe. Flew for around 13-15 mins!

Well done, the v2 upgrade is amazing and really transforms the the way the quad behaves. Waiting for video.

meet2ami

Thank you Ashimda. Yes true, the V2 upgrade makes it more perfect. Here's a video link of the first flight:

Good and stable flight.

What are the PID values that you have kept.

Asutosh

meet2ami

Thanks Asutosh. I have used more or less the stock gain settings. Worked great for me.

Basic:
Pitch/Roll - 145
Yaw -130
Vertical - 140

Attitude:
Pitch/Roll - 140

Quad AUW- 1200 gm approx.

ashimda

From the sound of Your quad, I think the gains are a little high. If you listen carefully you can hear the motors making oscillating sound.

meet2ami

Ok dada thnx for pointing it out. I will lower the gains a bit and give it a test flight. But the response of the quad to the stick movements was excellent. It was doing exactly what i was commanding through the tx.

meet2ami

Made some modifications:
1. Changed props 8x4.5 to 9x4.7
2. Reduced the gains a bit.
3. Added landing skids
4. Changed Rx from R615 to R620 with failsafe.
5. Added voltage alarm.

Made a successful failsafe return to home test flight. Here's a video:

Congrats on the successful test. So now you have the Naza dialed in, whats next?

meet2ami

Thank you Ashimda. Next upgrade will be aerial videography! Have seen your post of Tbs discovery aerial video. Very nice. Waiting for the camera to arrive. Also add some led lights for night flying.

jsquadman

Really awesome, where did you buy the naza and how much?

ashimda

Naza lite will cost about 10000/-
Available from RcMumbai, Quadkopters and RcProduct.

gunnu

@jsquadman currently using naza lite awesome controller really stable ( dead stable after V2 firmware upgrade.. )

regards

jsquadman

Cool and thanks all for the response, I may have found new project to upgrade from kk2 board :)

meet2ami

@jsquadman Yes true, Naza has awesome stability compared to KK2.0. Even in manual mode it flies much better than KK2. I have used KK2 for almost 1 year but never achieved such stable and controlled flight! Best for aerial photography. This is just my opinion. Ofcourse KK2 is a great controller for beginners.

jsquadman

Thanks @meet2ami, any idea if naza will work with flysky fs ct6b tx rx?

meet2ami

Naza works with any Rx Tx with min 4 channels. Only thing is you have to make proper connections between Rx and controller and have to configure your Tx accordingly.
