Dharmik

ok friends here is landing arms design and leveling of my quadrotor.

Dharmik

I am going to use hollow plastic tubes(sketch pen) to pass them through bottom holes of each arm.

dhirajjadhaodhiraj

Hello dhramik.
i can see in images that you have used 3 sided electrical wire casings for ARM.
But this material is going to give you lot of vibretions and very less strength.
And even this ARM can elevate from it's level if you give any rapid input to your quadrotor making it unstable.
i will better suggest you to change the arm material or you can first try the frame for Vibration test by only putting one motor with prop
on the ARM.

Dharmik

hi dhiraj bro
thanks for your valuable comment. It's not electrical wire casing.it's OREVA power saver tubelight base casing 20mmx10mm and thickness is 2.5mm.i have aluminium square hollow rods available.as you said if this material gonna put me in trouble i will replace it with aluminium arm.i will perform test first.thanks a lot bro.
EDIT thinkness 1.0-1.5mm

Dharmik

Hi thanks karan. Now it's your turn :p my quad is allmost completed waiting for outdoor test but ya it was really tough.i had to rewind one motor as it was fried(one esc too) during test, later i bought set of new motors. I have changed many things and at this moment i am using 2/3 inch aluminium channel but searching for 1/2 channel but as you know these things hardly available in our city.

Swapnil

Hi Dharmik, have you tested the quad outside yet?

Dharmik

hi swapnil
no yet tested outside. recently i bought 6ch radio from rcbazaar and trying to figure out how to program it, even upgraded battery and bought 2200mAh 3S 25C from rcelectro(received yesterday). Even changed arm and using 12mmx12mm aluminium channel and frame weight dramatically decreased :)

karan3_k

hello dharmik...
can u list the parts, components u used....
thnx...

Dharmik

sure karan bro.i will update post soon.progress is really slow as i am busy with other stuff.

karan3_k
