OpenPilot features

•Powerful STM32 32-bit microcontroller running at 90MIPs with 128KB Flash and 20KB RAM

I never knew OP runs on STM32 too. :o  As you said Naze and OP are really very similar.

BTW are you a developer? or just a avid quad lover like me?

lol, I'm only the latter. My knowledge of programming is very limited.

dreamfly

may be you can even port the OP code onto the Naze if you try !!!!

hyd_quads

That's a good idea! I'll try it out!

Dharmik

I think you guys are first to test naze and cc3d in india! Wish you all the best.

hyd_quads

Nah, I guess I won't be the first.
'Shehwar' from Mumbai has purcahsed a naze32 (blue PCB version) and seems to be in a hurry to start building. I wish him all the very best. I'll start building only in Nov. :(

Finally got the CC3d in my hands today and Oh Boy was I excited!!!!!.
Plugged it in,changed some pid settings and Off I flew it in my living.  I am risking a lot by flying it indoors.  already got a gash on my forearm.  But my excitement got the better of me and here's the CC3D flying.  First of all the software is still in Beta so I am still expecting quite some more changes in there.  There are  some changes in here from the original OPCC and I feel less experienced all of a sudden.  I had earlier fine tuned my OPCC to the extent that it just flies hands free.  With the CC3D I still have much to learn and knowing that the software hasn't still been released.... all I can say at this point in point in time is Let's Wait for the final release.......
Here's me flying it anyway....

hyd_quads

Hey, so you're roxyboby on RCG?
btw, that's extreme stability! :)

I'm now *trying* to flash my F-30A's with simonK...
Making the pin-out structure is incredibly difficult for me..

dreamfly

everything will be difficult in the beginning.  but then eventually doing the same thing over and over again will make it simpler.  I still have issues soldering BTW.  Still havent mastered it.

hyd_quads

I have soldered wires on my hobbyking USB programmer and when I plug it into a USB port, it says "USB Device not recognized"
What's the problem? Thanks

dreamfly

Are there any drivers which come with the programmer?  I am not sure since I dont have the programmer.  sorry.  Dharmik Bhai should have the details since he has done this before

hyd_quads

I have the SilLabs drivers installed. I am afraid I have killed it while soldering, but I am hopeful I didn't, soldering was done quite decently. :(

Dharmik

@Dreamfly sir it flies really well and 6 props together makes horrible noise. Really nice build. I got one more flight yesterday with keycam hooked on it. Now i can hover and land it well in confine place. Uploading video.
@Vineet bro if you get "USB Device not recognized" error means one or more wires not connected properly.

hyd_quads

I have connected the programmer direclty to my computer. ESC is not connected yet. So no question of wires, am I missing something? Should I connect the ESC too??? Thanks for your help

Dharmik

Okie.. I think it's an issue with driver or maybe something else. It gives me such error when it's not connected properly to the port. In fact i just tried it and it gave me an error "USB Device not recognized" so i just plugged it again properly and it works now. I do get such error while connecting simulator cable also and reconnect does the job.

hyd_quads

I didn't get a green light first, but I'm getting it now. yet it says "USB Device not recognized"

Dharmik

It will give you that error even solid green light is on but don't flash an ESC without fixing that issue otherwise it might damage EEPROM of an ESC(i read that somewhere on rcg). So fix everything before you hit green button.

hyd_quads

Sure, thanks.
Which drivers are you using? SilLabs drivers or the ones from HK 'Files Tab'?
I downloaded both of them and installed the SilLabs one. I am unable to understand how to install the HK 'Files tab' driver. Any clues? Thanks.

dreamfly

Thanks Dharmik bhai,  6 props is really becoming an overkill.  I don't think i'll like to keep it this way. Not very happy with the setup really.  I was much better off with the Quad setup.  I get very scared  when I try to grab it with my hands.  Cant predict anything with these machines.

This is KK2.0 v1.2 S2 ACC mod by Scolton. Flies like a dream, no issue and flyable in confine place with auto-level on. I just flew with default AL gains. Gyro gains are as before. Keycam #3 hooked on the quadcopter. The battery of keycam ran out of the juice and it switched of automatically.

Here is the link of Shane Colton's blog. Please read through the page before flashing fw

Thanks for your help everybody.

I have tried on a different computer (this time Win 7 64bit) and it worked. :)
So I unplugged it after it got recognised and plugged it back again. AND IT STARTED AGAIN! 'USB device is not recognised'. I guess I've killed th programmer while soldering it. :(
