Dharmik

Sir i learned those moves from your night series videos.

dreamfly

Oh.  really,  I am honoured.  But I fear doing those stunts now.  from a tiger to a mouse, Thats what I have become.  :'(

QuadRotor - Night Fury
Pushed the limits today and gained bit more
height. Plan was to complete the whole battery
pack(around 9min) but settings were not optimum
so landed it quickly.

satyagupta

{:)} feeling jealous (pls dont mind bro just kidding :giggle:) that i am not able to lift off with such stability, mine always drifts on one of the direction :( what might be the reason of the drift bro??

Imbalance in weight, un-calibrated trims on the tx, or uneven motor startup due to un-calibrated esc throttle ranges?

satyagupta

trims are calibrated (we can check this with new KK board you get all 0 then all trims are perfect)

uneven motor startup that happnes sometime but after i set the throttle range that fixes it

Nopes, you know the strange thing this drifts these happens some times not always. If i move throttle from 0 - 40% in one shot then quad will jump and will be stable no much drift. But if i slowly move throttle there is lot of drifts man..

post a Video .  Drift is always there.  It's just a matter of how much.  indoors there will definately be prop downwash and the quad will drift.  Outdoors the quad is succeptable to breeze, so the quad is bound to drift.  If you are looking at zero drift, you are asking for too much ;)
If you mean hand free flying then you need to first tune your Quad as much as possible (PID).  If you have something to adjust the Level on your board then please do that.  I fly the Open pilot and we have something called "Leveling" which I have to first click to record the level on the FC.  Not sure if it's there on the HK board

Dharmik

Extremely sorry for being late. Thank you Satya, Runik, Vinnet, Dreamfly bros. Friends i flew it on the ground today where it crashed before on my 1st test flight, audience crowded and enjoyed the flight(once again i flew it at night). Everything went smoothly, rapid ascend and descend, gained even more height. I will post video soon.
@Satya bro if it's roaming around, you have to find optimum gain settings for your quad. If possible try it on small props, it will be easy to control. Don't worry it might take some time but once you gain experience it will be easy to overcome all these.

So true. Most quads (esp. Multiwii) yaw-drift a little during take-off, but this is considered normal. I haven't heard of pitch-droft or roll drift.

Dharmik Bhai,  Can I nick name you "Night Rider" ??

Dharmik

@Satya bro i plugged battery voltage alarm that day and it was terribly loud.
@Dreamfly sir that tag better suits you.  It was a great fun. Hows your Y-6?

dreamfly

Oh the Y6 is good.  just no time to fly it.  I'll try and fly it tomorrow if the weather's fine and also post a video.

Dharmik

QuadRotor - Situation
It was a critical situation at the end, i was so
involved and didn't noticed that battery ran out of
juice. It landed hard on the ground. No damage.
Also see fast forward, dust cloud and some close
call.

dreamfly

wow!  That could have been worse.  you got lucky this time!  But that's the name of the the game in multicopters.
The good think is that you fly at night so no bystanders to cause any confusion and to get hurt.  Just be careful.

Dharmik

Yeah sir it was a pure luck this time. I got my fpv gear and hd cam yesterday and working on my fpv frame. I am looking for good motors for my new quad.

satyagupta

DT750 they are the good or i would say awesome motors.. If you are ready to burn your pocket then i would suggest Tiger Motors http://www.rctigermotor.com/list.php?catid=65 i call them pocket burners.. ;P

Very true.. ;D
People say any multirotor motor above $40 or so is only a rebranded, re-stickered $25 motor.. :giggle:

But sunnysky seems to be a very good option. Sunnysky is sold on goodluckbuy.com and himodel.com.
It is the best choice for those who want *super-smooth* cheap 22xx motors.
Unfortunately their 28xx series are a bit costlier.

satyagupta

Well i can get sunnysky motors in my online store, if they have users here.. there is one more brand LEOPARD/RED LEOPARD they are also good but have not ever heard about it here in RCI.
