And what is the point of posting a video such as this? My apologies if I sound rude...............

nothing bro only the thing is progress is really slow especially when it comes to PID tuning. i need some suggestions.btw this one is kk v4.7 x config. it seems uneven surface causing quad to go crazy.

paladugu_sujith

ur quad is too sensitive..reduce the gyro gain.

VC

You are working on a difficult project. She seems twitchy. Too sensitive. All the best! :thumbsup:

@paladugu_sujith
thanks bro i will try that in next test as rest all things seems to be ok so i am sure gyro needs some adjustment.
@VC sir
haha yeah this thing is really tough.i will edit my posts once i complete(hopefully..) this.

sometimes  i like these kinds of responses..ha ha

no offense dharmik bro , and i know even you are buying some of my stuff

Dharmik

lol actually VC sir is right. Such video is probably pointless at this moment, since i am updating topic with all test videos i thought to post this one too it might help someone having same issue but i will have to edit topic as this is my 4th custom frame and new set of motors etc to list them above.

Swapnil

Keep going man! These things need patience.
I'm eagerly waiting for your quad to fly. I want to build one too.  :thumbsup:

Dharmik

Thank you swapnil. Appreciate it.

Finally after doing some tweaks with gyro i found correct gyro gain(i kept P gain bit high in this video), believe me it was not that much of easy when props attached. I went through the whole PID tuning, still i am not satisfied, some work needed before outdoor test. All this happened between 45-60% THROTTLE RANGE. I would like to thank Chris(LazyZero) for his assistance.

i had the similar issue .. reduce the gain bit by bit till u get a normal flight.. . what LIPO are u using. is it over 30 C discharge?? or less than that. if u are using hk control board make sure that is its properly mounted on a double sided tape.. it shld have almost 0 vibration. i saw that when one of the arm was dipping.. the gyro was over correcting it. reducing the gain would help ..

Dharmik

hi sujith
Thanks bro. Motor's max current is 6-12A. i am using 2200mAh 25C lipo. Yeah you are right gain was bit high causing oscillations, will decrease a bit today. It was moving around as i have been triming tx during that but results are much better than my last test.

paladugu_sujith

12 a X 4 motors need 48 amps of current.. ie close to  50 amps of constant current. 25c will not give enough current for it. 25C will give max of 25X 2200mah ie 50 amps of current.. just filling its need..put a 40 c lipo.. and chk it.. you shld be able to hover it.  and yes gain is always a sensitive issue . make all the gain changes 1/8 of the turns .. slowly decreasing or increasing it depending upon need.. hope this helps. would love to see this beauty hovering soon.

Finally perfect gain, perfect trim and perfect performance that i have been looking for.

-1100 kv motors
-20A ESCs
-2200mAh 25C battery
-10x4.5 and 9x5 props both giving stable performance.
-HK 48PA FC.
-Cricket bat grip material to reduce vibrations.
-Always balance your props and see the magic

EDIT:
reuploaded video with its horrible sound.

Swapnil

Congrats!  {:)}

I'll be starting with my Quad in June and will need your help then!

Dharmik

thank you bro and sure, it will be my pleasure.

thank you so much bhanu and VC sir. It could not been possible without this forum and friends like you and many others who helped me. I got wooden frame from Rajath bro, i am going to test X mode on that frame and light circuit from Roopesh sir. Great forum with great people :)

VC

Pl tell us in detail about all the components that you have used, Motors, ESC, Board etc and approx costs involved. This will help all other budding Quad modellers.
