Sunnysky motors are undoubtedly good, but unfortunately not many guys realise that they're actually better than turnigy, HK, etc. They tend to think sunnysky is just any other chineese motor.

Dharmik

So..friends(Dreamfly sir, Satya and Vineet bros), hows your RC life going?

dreamfly

For me it's only on weekends. I am building a new quad now.  This one's a heavy lifter with Tiger motors.  Still a long way to go.  My Y6  motors (dt700) needs some new shafts, Props and bearings.
Anybody knows where I can get some good japanese bearing   4x8x3  for my Dt700's?

Dharmik

Nice to hear from you sir. Have you dismantled your first quad? I do fly my quad regularly at night. I have some videos to share. My next quad project is bit delayed, few things left to buy.
EDIT
Here is the list of motor stuff
http://www.rcbazaar.com/category/167-motor-shafts-bearings.aspx

dreamfly

I have not stopped flying.  I am fine tuning my quad with some patches the developers have put out.  Added to my misery my motor shafts are all bent and need to replace them along with the bearing.  The y6 consumes a lot of power and I dont really get a lot of flight time, around 1 min or so on a 2200  and I only have 4 lips's.  I have done too many purchases lately and need to put a hold on any more further purchases.  This buying never stops really.

satyagupta

I have written my reply but forgot to press post :banghead:

ya so, today have plan to complete my quads new frame. I have moved from turnigy talon (arms used to bread with every crash >:( ) to our very own custom aluminum based frame, so that and then test and fly it again. Then my plan in near future is to build and try SPIDER FPV frame, i have got the materials just wanting for the right time i.e. i get a good control and get my quad flying. So it has around good couple of months time, but i have started gathering stuffs that would be helpful to build one.

When i started working on this project in the mid
of 2010, i didn't even know that one day i will be
able to land my quadrotor on less than 1x1 feet
table. One slightly loose motor mount caused left
yaw drift during this flight but everything went
smoothly later and managed to finished the battery
pack. To my surprise when i gained height some
bees started roaming around the quad. Well i tried
to land on the tripod as well but i couldn't may be
next time.

Dharmik Bhai,  Good stool practice.
Now I am not having a good time at all.  Today I had another crash.  Will post a video of it.  Oh Boy was I lucky in all ways.  Firstly It crashed on my rooftop, secondly I was not flying very high up and thridly only a broken moter mount.
I dont know what went wrong. These are Tiger MT 3506 650 KV.  Anybody heard anything bad about them.  I was consulting on another forum and one person mentiond about motor stalling in flight.  Now that is bad news for me.  I am still counting my lucy stars!!!!!!

dreamfly

Here's that video of the crash.  Still tying to analyze what happened!!!

Dharmik

Hmm.. Sir i haven't tried those motors but i saw many positive reviews. May be something wrong with motor-esc combo? Have you flashed your escs?

dreamfly

I am planning to buy the flashing stuff and get along with the flashing exercise.  Vineet has sent me your website with the tutorials on how to do it, and I want to do it at the earliest to prevent such mishaps from occuring .  Man was I lucky.  I just cant stop thinking about it.  Even my dreams last night were not ok.
