QuadRotor - Navigation lights test
I have changed gyro gain a bit, it was flying everywhere due to new gain settings and windy condition. I will revert back to old settings. Well nav light circuit was sent by roopesh sir so i am really thankful to him. It adds beauty. Searching one red or blue 1W led. Here is short video.

Dharmik

Managed to get 3 flights today with rapid escs. Wonderful experience, flies really smooth. Flew it till battery ran out of juice.

Yeah Satya bro wind gust and i was trying to fly it near the ground. I think it can be improved bit more but needs open place. But i am sure simonk firmware makes huge difference now.

satyagupta

Hmmm ya it was visible in the video itself, btw nice flight  try to get some height if you get to try in open ground :) i will get to try my quad tomorrow and day after TGIF :giggle:

Have you flashed your ESC? I heard that flashed esc gets warm but mine stays cool just as before. I don't see any negative point. But ya i am experiencing bit yaw drift. I will try to fix that.

hyd_quads

one more doubt, reflashed ESCs cannot be programmed via card, so what if we want to change any settings? (say, timing, or LV cut-off, or anyother) Thanks

raja_mastana

Nice video! Please share your gain values

@Vineet bro once you flash esc you can not change any settings except throttle range but best possible multirotor settings are allready covered and included in the firmware.
@raja_mastana sir i have been playing with PI gain from past few days over rooftop. Currently i have P gain at 100 and I gain at 50. Yaw P gain 120 and I default.
@Satya bro ya you are correct first try with non flashed esc.

satyagupta

thanks i will get started tomorrow and i will keep you posted :)

@Dharmik: I read once an ESC is flashed, we need not do any throttle calib. (although it CAN be done). The new f/w hard-sets the throttle range to 1000-2000.

Dharmik

Ya i read that somewhere and i was also expecting that but when i powered up my esc motor refused to start. Maybe the reason was my end points were set to 120.

Adiboy

Dear Dharmik Sir,

I could not see your videos in this thread.... It says "This is a private video".

Can u make those visible to me...?

digvijaymahida23

hello dharmik, i m from surat. i am also making a quadrotor as my final year project. so plz could u guide me to making this project? and one more thing can i get your mobile no ? thanks

swapnil5775

waiting ffor that whole part list which you have used and total weight with cost.

Dharmik

Hi I have posted complete part list in reply no.60. I would suggest you to don't follow my setup, especially motors because their mount is headache and shaft is really long that can be bent easily.

satyagupta

Any suggestion how to cut short that LONG shaft (i use DT750)

You have putted in 60 No. reply. i saw it. But that atmel Controller, how you have programmed and how you have given comand to control the Quad ?>   Cant we make this project without Using ESC ?

Dharmik

@Satya bro i think DT750 has 4mm shaft so you don't need to cut. I do mount prop near the bell to get rid of vibrations and it actually works.
@Swapnil bro that's HK board. I was using KapteinKuk v4.7 firmware. You can flash firmware using USBASP. You won't believe but that board is one of simplest board available at this moment and firmware was readymade(not coded by me) but still it took more than 5-6months to get 1st flight.

swapnil5775

okay i got it. tell me. If anyne Specialist in Quadcopter here then please tell em ATMEL AT89c51 Controller is okay for this ? can we built this quadcopter by using it ?  Please tell me . ii have to make decision for this.
