Super build, looking forward to see the maiden video. These mini quads are prone to crashes, considering the way they are mostly flown. How do you think the frame will hold up.

I had two successful flight tests. Then I overcorrected and crashed breaking two booms.

The motors have been a constant source of grief... With bad bearings... Will have to replace them soon.

I have been using the RCX motors on my mini quad for nearly a year, without any issues. I have broken an embarrassing number of props, destroyed a IRC 600mw tx, and even dunked it into a lake trying to do a flip. So far I have had to change only 1 motor, because the magnets became loose.
Try them as a cheap solution.

Vibrant hobbies has been kind enough to raise the issue with HK lets see how HK responds 

Update: HK has accepted one motor is faulty, and Vibrant  Hobbies has gone ahead and given me the refund for one motor

I have changed the boom design slightly, by removing the sharp V on the booms because they were fragile. Replaced it with a flat bottom design.  

The MDF has proven to be strong enough for this design as well.
