The only thing thats scratch built is the frame.
Specs:
Frame made out of wood
KK 2.0 FC with Ver 1.6 firmware
Avionic M2230/15 KV1780 MICRO brushless motor
Hk 20amp esc flashed with simon k firmware
Wolfpack 4200mah 35C 7.4V
8043 props
AUW 570gms approx
Flight time approx 12 mins
I dismantled my quad(http://www.rcindia.org/multirotors/my-wood-frame-quad-with-kk-2-0/msg153896/#msg153896)
And built this tricopter because it is easier for me to keep check on orientation on a tri than a quad!
Working with KK 2.0 is like playing with lego blocks. Most of the issues are already documented online, so its easy to setup.
Issues:
Wolfpack batteries are getting a lil 'more than warm' after flight. I thought a 4200mah 35c should very easily handle 60amps draw.
Voltage after use is around 6.65-6.7v. I am at loss here?
Motors get super hot and impossible to touch for a minute or 2 after flight, but its holding together even after 15-20 flights, so i think thats alright. I wanted to reduce the prop size, but 7*4/4.5 props are not available here in India.

Which servo are you using for yaw mechanism?
Nice build one suggestion is that place the fc at cg, a t copter is an asymmetrical frame. So cg is not at point where arms meet like tricopter. Its a little back.
Check this to find cg for your t copter-

try a 3s battery, might help with the heat issue
Joban a 3s would make it even worse. You need to lessen the number of cells if you want to reduce the overheating(as in this case) of the motors......
Go for 1s but I don't think you can find those high mAh lipos in India
my bad, din't read properly...thought he is using a 4s...
Lot of great suggestions , but I don't think the one who posted this won't be in need of it anymore !!
Guys its a 2 year old post;)
