Does anyone know what is the difference between APM that 3dr provides and one which is available on sites like banggood. Price wise there's definitely a big gap but how about features,configuration and setup?

There are 3DR approved clone too, its like a clone but approved by 3DR themselves.

No one can list down a list of approved clones or bad clones, its very difficult. As a seller its sellers responsibility to make sure that customers get better product (clone or original) If you want original then you can buy from 3DR robotics. If you want clone (and approved clone too) then its available at LHS you just need to search

i am sure other LHS would also have similar.
