Nice workmanship. but that landing gear would make things tougher ie balance during land and takeoff... you should have some support at four arm ends......

It is the pervading law of all things organic and inorganic,
Of all things physical and metaphysical,
Of all things human and all things super-human,
Of all true manifestations of the head,
Of the heart, of the soul,
That the life is recognizable in its expression,
That form ever follows function. This is the law.

Great job Dharmik bro!!!

couple of questions.

1) What is length of those long nut bolt?

2) Do you think that you should add some suspension at bottom ? i think with rough landing long screw will bend very easily ?

satyagupta

Atul bro there is a landing skid at the bottom, dharmik bro uses landing skid of the helicopter...

Some updates on this project. I received my FPV gear, thanks to Vineet@HobbySea, first LHS to have fpv stuff. Got few things for frame also. Nowadays busy with job and it keeps me away from all these but i will try to finish it soon.

What is your FPV setup and how much did it cost ???

Dharmik

This is my scratch built FPV frame "XtremeX".
Designed on CAD and completely handmade,
using exam writing pad plastic.
Frame: XtremeX scratch built
QuadRotor: EGO
Motors: 1200kV modified
Props: 8x4.5
Battery: 2200mAh
Controller: KK2.0
ESC: Simonized F-20A

Thank you friends for your input. Actually this video was shot in 720p which was 466MB of size, i had to scale it down. At this moment i am using 450 heli landing skid i recently bought from the RCI user Shannon. The bolts used are 75mm long. I am going to use 5.8GHz starter video link. I will post complete build log and 1st fpv video soon.

Dharmik

Tested fpv gear today.

Dharmik

Here is a short edited video, it touched the ground

As i said before I got really amazing performance from hk 5.8ghz 200mW fpv setup. I found some interesting facts of rc305 fpv gear as well. When initially I powered up the setup I just got few feet range. After tuning it properly now it works perfectly. Please have a look at the pic of ground test attached below. You can see there are obstacles between txrx but reception was good enough until the buildings came blocked signal. It started showing white dots on the screen. I am sure the setup can do much more if you fly LOS
EDIT
Red dot shows walking distance not signals path ;)

Dharmik bhai.  Is it possible to show how the actual video looks like.  This could undoubtedly be my next project.

Dharmik

Yes sir I will try, I want to check the ground range again on the straight road. I saw some posts that fpv is easy compare to Los flying but for but actually it's bit hard specially when you land, have plan of fpv trial at my friend farm

Dharmik bhai, Satya bro, Here is the 1.5V of the KK2 firmware. Great features with gimbal stabilization.

Also here is the video to build your own gimbal.

P.S - Satya bro, i flew my quad with v1.5 without any 'tuning' (Stock Settings). Did not have any problems with oscillations at all!

Cheers!

I mean channel selection on both tx and rx needs to be correct using trial and error method as docs come with the setup are not true so you need to find correct combination of channel switches to get best out of it, and CP antennas might help as well to go up to 1 to 1.5km

Dharmik

Thank you veloci for the link. I have 1.4 on both quad will upgrade later if gimbal needed.

OK Dharmik bhai. By the way, what material have you used for those center plates?

EDIT - Got it. Thanks!
