Hi Guys, :)
i searched over net for the answers of this question but could not figure it out. :headscratch:
So have anybody used 7X for playing simulator on pc??
There are 2 or 3 comments on HK 7X page (Search for keyword pc or simulator in comments)
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=10186
Following lines from Hk 7x manual
{{{
HK-7X 7CH is a digital device, it also has a signal output slot on the bottom. But in common using, the
output signal is PCM format. If you are using a flying simulator on your computer, the simulator
software can not work with HK-7X PCM signal. So you must switch the signal to PPM by following
steps:1.Set the model to the type you perfer, for simulator using, it should be set to AP normally.2.Turn off the transmitter, then Hold 'INC' and 'DEC' , and turn on it.3.You will see the screen shows 'PPXX.XV' like chart 25.4.The transmitter switches to PPM status now, and the signal from the slot is standard PPM format, you could connect it with simulator adapter.}}}
So finally i wanna know can 7x be used to play simulator .If yes then what cable is used.Internet link to that cable will be great.
and is 7X HK 2.4 better than Hk 6ch 2.4??
Thnks
Hi,
You can use the same wire which came to program this radio, if not then you can make your own too. also manual means that you have to change the signal from the TX from PCM to PPM, simply meaning that when you fly a heli it requires the 3 cyclic servos to move together with the throttle stick called collective Pitch mixing, Simulators don't understand that and they will move some channles together which will mix up your heli or plane movements as there are single channels for throttle, ail, elev etc in a simularor. so just change it by the given method and you can use it with the sim.
Thanks

But unfortunately i don't see any cable in HK website for HK7x 2.4 :( .

I wish HK hobbies would have include the cable for 7X also. :)
A thankyou given to somebody makes his day full of confidence. ;D
Also is Anybody using 7X? please share your experience with us.
I found a connector on HK

Even there are more connectors.
Hi,
Every Tx/Rx can be used as simulator by adding a few connection pin to Diode adder of receiver and a small 6 volt battery supply. You get the PPM output that support simulator software even through PPJoy.
This is if you dont get the right cable. Moreover, it cannot require Tx Connection with PC. Only Rx need to connect with PC.
Thanks
Dear ALL,
I Just received the cables/disk/pendrive but the ps2 connector does not fit to my PC .ps2 connector is not as similar to the key board connector.
Will a PS2 connector of a key board or USB CONNECTOR (which one pls advise )work for the simulator ??If yes can you advise me which wire ps2 to be connected to the 6 pin din or which wire of the USB is to be connected to the 6 pin din
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=14309
my connection goes as follow six pin din which has a female mono cable
then I connect male mono cable to a ps2 connector(which actually does not connect to my pc ) which is then supposed to be connected to keyboard female connector.
What the mode it should operate -ppm or pcm
Is this the right way to connect tx to pc for activating the sim ?
I've a Futaba 6xas .
If any one has some expert guidance ,pls let me know

I followed the instructions and it does work! ;D ;D ;D
Made a connector for my Futaba T7C. Gonna make one for my SD-5G tomorrow!
Thanks Amit!
Has anybody tried this? (a home made sim cable, that is)
I was wondering if it can have any bad effects on the sound-card... ???

That's a cool concept, Kalyan sir. Can you please elaborate the method or give a rough circuit?
Yes Kalyan Sir dat will be great.just a rough diagram.i broke my 6ch hk cable.
I always use the Buddy socket on my radios to fly sims. If your radio has an ordinary 3.5mm socket all you need is a stereo 3.5mm lead and the USB adapter. (It looks like a black thumb drive) I'm sure HK sells them. I hope this is for a legally purchased flight sim and not a pirated one. I make a point of buying every flight sim available from the manufacturers. I have a thing about the prices I have to pay because so many people illegally use cheap bug ridden copies. Then again I have to wonder if the price would go down if everyone bought originals :) As the pirates say, "If you like it Buy it"
