i got the backlight long time ago from hobbysea.com. the size is different although as its made for 9x. so you have to only cut the excess from the end without wires, and  it'll fit easily, i also used hot glue gun to make it and the Lcd stick.

one can also make the lcd from low cost home things for as little as 15 rs . see one of my 9x with blue backlight

The dx6i is left in the dirt by rcb7x ....the spectrum dx7 is no way close when in comes to price plus feature like channel assignment is not available in dx7 so is wireless trainer ....but then again things become crystal clear u can spend 22k on a spectrum or get something with a little bit more for 1/4 the price ...... :giggle:
The Spektrum DX6i / DX7 has a proven track record and you can trust any model on it.
Can't really say that about this product - it still has to prove itself on the field.

RCB7x is a copy of the Dx7 - so it is obviously worth 1/4 of its price (that's the way clones are priced - otherwise who will buy them?)

Better compare this radio with other radio in its class (like the 9x)

+1 to raja and not to take away RCB's effort, and since they had nothing to do with the copying, i am saying this. Chinese, shamelessy clone anything and everything, no intellectual property rights, no ethics no nothing. priced at 1/4 for a clone with no R&D cost is just about fair price IMHO

guys..
the intentions here was to introduce an radio that is great for beginners including a simulator which does not make them think twice before entering into this hobby... yes gusty this topic has been beaten to death not just here but also internationally... as much as i tend to agree with you (i myself own futaba, spektrum, jr and have been flying for years with these and had good times and bad times with these radio like brown outs etc) BUT the thought of a beginner spending rs 15k - 20K plus for a 7ch radio who will fly his home made plane for rs 3000 does not justify... coming to the topic of the chinese cloning or even selling products under other names than they were intended to manufacture i do not forsee these stopping in the near future... and frankly do not care as much as I get the same end result with 1/4 of the cost..

+1 sujju  ;D .....and guys let it be a clone or a good brand both have issues spectrum when they launched their dx8 just go and check out how many seriius problema it had 3d pilot bert kamerrer had 2 of his helicopter eat dirt due to tx rx fault of dx8 so end result matters no matter if its a clone or a branded tx ....if it has gr8 features and works great really and having such a low cost then wat hell give it a swirl

:) No one in the world - including those who are having trillions of patents or intellectual property rights can't move a proverbial 'hair' from our Chinese folks body or else where  >:D. They care a hoot for all these things. Make cheap clones of what is available, sell them in numbers, make some money and scoot off...... Who cares !!!! If these copies give you good service, it's well and good, you are lucky. but if it just packed up and called it a day, too bad, your luck just ran out. :banghead:  you get what you pay for.  ;D

Most of us would not be able to afford this hobby if it weren't for the Chinese.

In the Indian pharma sector generic medicines
are available for a fraction of the price of the proprietary medicines .... Many poor people
are able to access decent healthcare because of this. Whether this is wrong or right I leave
it to you to decide, however in this case too the India Pharma companies are violating
intellectual property rights.

I echo the opinion likewise, in the same beath, i say, Clones are Clones, real stuff is real (In most cases, exceptions are always there, RCB7X could be one), Chinese clone fighters like Lavi, Sukoi 30, EuroFighter etc, all are failures, freindly countries who bought them are crying, so many lost thier lives.

Back to the topic perse, great effort RCB

Since we are discussing radio pricing, here is a shocker, which a fellow flyer shared with me at the field couple of days back.

I have started a new thread on this.

you forgot one thing it cannot connect to other receivers and it is also not written on the website   :banghead: >:( ??? :headscratch: :argue:  :-[ :violent:

Well, to not to shoot in the dark, i just bought one radio to review, later, it went to a pupil of mine.

Pluses
1. Value for money ? certainly
2. PPM out on a SimU channel (Four Channels), good for wirelss sim and though not recommended could be used on an aeroplane too, decoded.
3. Assignable Channels.
4. Rx binds to two TX, one as master and the other as Slave, so with two Tx and one Rx you have a wireless trainer
5. Five point Throttle curve, great for heli
6. Throttle Hold, Pit Trim & Hov trim are standard but nice ergonomics

Minuses

1. Obviously cannot be compared to a build of a Spektrum, plastic does feel and look cheaper than spektrum, including the switches
2. For a newbie, programming options are slightly confusing. but then there are no free lunches, newbie has to put in some hours on the manual and hands on , on the radio.
3. For some reason my TX did not work well with the supplied Realflight G4, stick did not calibrate at all. However it worked with G5 , Aerofly, and Phoenix  well (Not supplied)
4. Sim wires are confusing, on the Simulator cable Red carries signal, White positive and Black negative.
5. It is not a High Voltage Rx, cannot be used for High Torque new gen servos, unlike the latest FRSky Rx.

My Final Verdict is
Definitely a good radio for the price, it is a blasphemy, however to compare it with the spektrum (since i owned and flew extensively with many spektrum radios, incl the 18 Ch one)

today i went to butchery ground and flew su 26 M from rcbazaar using rcb7x, the video is not very clear at times and i am sorry for the same, the video is taken with HD video recording  :banghead: the tx range is good as far as i could barely see the model. already plenty is said about the radio, so nothing more to add except that it is great value for money and for beginers this is imp :giggle:.( mostly). the radio has much to cover with respect to its track record and i am one of those who would say that i like it.

the wireless simulator is the best part and it even works with clearview rc simulator.

the plane on 6s is really very powerful

tech4share... what glitches are you experience in flight, as your statement here is a bit vague to me???... send a detailed email to me at and fyi there is a warranty on this product on any manufacturing defect (the same has been stated on site)...

AEROVISHWA

i can agree with tech4share. there are some glitches if the antennas are kept near... can even bee seen in  G4 sim.

also one most important feature missing... low voltage alarm. left the Tx on last night in my room and found that the battery died by morning. there was no low V alarm. but just died. on my way for a new battery pack.

some more pointers/ flaws

reversing and subtrims are not connected.... if u reverse the subtrim changes direction. ( if they are related they would be better)

reversing channels is screwed up.
ch 1: throttle
ch 2: aliron
ch 3: elevator
ch4: rudder( thats same)

can some one else confirm... or is it just me..??
