Hi friends,
Today got my Spektrum Dx7s. The only thing missing in this Tx is the 'Backlight' . I've googled regarding this and found that there are many kits available in the international online stores. Any body in this forum modded the Dx7s (backlight mod). Any suggestions ? Veterons please guide me.
Thanx in advance.
shashi
I would wait And try to mod after the warranty expires .
You bought from Horizon or Amazon ?
From Radiocontrol-sport, Singapore
One of my friend Bilal had recently installed backlit on his Turnigy.
You can ask him or PM him.
Just a suggestion, why do you want to open your new radio... I mean a new spectrum... ;D ;D
i believe tinkering with your own radio sometimes is a precious moment far beyond the understanding of others. ;D
if u really want to, see this http://www.rcindia.org/radios-and-receivers/avionic-rcb7x-review/25/ (http://www.rcindia.org/radios-and-receivers/avionic-rcb7x-review/25/)
Thank you vishal bhai
But where can I find the backlight for Spektrum DX7s ; any indian store ?
shashi
I think it could be done using the HK (9x) one too.
i have never seen a spectrum radio, so i dont know the screen size ,but dhruva must have seen it and if he approves the turnigy 9x backlight it must be true, slight here n there you can do urself.
or
if u really want to go unique then use leds behind the lcd, u can install multicolored lights with some cool effects.
I've ordered one from tech4rc ... direct install ... no soldering required. Druv & vishal any idea regarding auto off. Check this youtube video ; http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=807TF-VVhxE (http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=807TF-VVhxE)
How to add this circuit ?
its basically a timer circuit attached to the backlight. the reset of the ic 555 is connected to the buzzer out of the radio. n so every time u click something a beep sounds starting the timer and powering it for whatever time u have set it for.
note: if u disable the buzzer this timer won't work
Thanx for the explanation, how to add this circuit to Tx ?? How set the time ?
