I bought Avionic Rcb6i Transmitter and I have used several batteries and the transmitter always beeps showing low voltage. Can anyone suggest good high voltage batteries to use? I have tried 1.2 V Sony rechargeable batteries and Duracell 1.5 V batteries. Or is there any problem with transmitter?

Thanks.

never had this prob. with my rcb 6i.
better call rcbazaar if there's no improvement. They are very helpful

I had this low voltage issue after few days of using fresh alkaline batteries. Then I purchased Panasonic eneloop Pro 2550 Mah rechargable batteries; and that solved the issue. This seems to be the best rechargable battery available now( reviews show better than Sony)

I'm using my old lipo for tx and no problem at all.
They loose discharge rating after being used for 20hrs of flight.
I charge it once in a month and use them total 15hrs

Transmitter: Futaba 4EX (uses 8xAA batteries)

I have used 800 mah Uniross batteries (NiCd) earlier for my Tx. - Good, but was on learning curve, so didn't use much. I lost Uniross while shifting home.

Then I used Eveready Ultima 2700 mah batteries (NiMH). - Good in terms of performance but one of the cell started leaking later on, so stopped using the entire pack. I use the balance Eveready batteries in my kids toys.

And now I am using the Panasonic Eneloop Pro 2550 mah batteries (NiMH) for my Tx for the past six months.

I would rate Panasonic Eneloop Pro batteries the best in terms of holding charge.

Yes, agree. But Eneloop being 1.2 volts, has to be 3 more in number right? How do you keep those extra ?

@SI74....I didn't get you....could you please elaborate?

For NiMH AA rechargeable batteries 1.2V is nominal and it will become around 1.45 when full charged.

SI74

Yes, but soon it becomes around 1.3 and stays so.

VIPIN_KUMAR

After charging, my Tx displays the total voltage as 9.6v with Eneloop.
However, with Uniross it used to display the total voltage as 10.2v. ???

SI74

Did you use the eneloop advance charger? The voltage should stay around 1.3 ; if not try charging once again till the lights turn off. If even then it doest hold charge, ask for a replacement.

VIPIN_KUMAR

I am using Eveready charger..and yes I did charge the batteries till indicator turned off..
