I had a nose crash with my trainer :( - luckily the reciever futaba 617 , survived since I had kept it in a plastic case - after I saw a fellow flier breaking his recievr in a crash. The plastic case broke , but reciever was Ok .I tested it wit a thumping heart - to my amazement it was working fine( hats off to Futaba - really rugged) ;D.
It was problem to have a spare reciever for futaba 617 costs 95$.
At hobby king I saw HK7 2.4 ( 7 ch with 8 ch reciver for 60$. no battery for Rxr).I got a 11.1 Lipo for rxr.
I got one with a spare reciver ( 28$) Total cost with spare reciver - $88, whereas a futaba 617 Reciver itself costs 95$!
I have yet to try it out yet .
Has anyone used HK 7 ,hw is it's performance ???
Even the CD supplied with set is just nothing much beyond basics :help:
Can anyone give some views ?
Regards
Shiva
Raoji -
You mentioned a 11.1 lipo for RX, guess you meant the TX :headscratch:
About the radio, if you have a Futaba radio already, it is not wise to buy a TX just to get one more RX (or even two). These radios are a case of "you get what you pay for", although they will work for beginners. Since you have a good radio, only invest in receivers.
Shiva Rao is from AP also. He used to fly with us in Qatar :)
Double "Raoji"s, double the fun ;D
i have kds 7x which is 100% the same as the hk version as it is modified from hk
modified means only stickers! :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: i bhought it from Sai uncle
