Title: FlySky FS-R6B antena problems
Post by: shobhit17 on June 12, 2015, 09:03:22 PM
Friends...... lately two of my models were not behaving as they should be and I was quite surprised as how come I was getting too jadded to keep them in control.... when one of them crashed and i was removing the enectronics I realised that the Antena wire had come off the receiver.  On check i found the same problem with the other Rx.

Can some one help me with tips not to have a repete of such a silly thing... how do i keep the antena wire secured with the Rx....

Can someone also tell me how to fix the antena wire on the two Rx of mine....

waiting for your assistance

I think you can fix it by opening the rx and soldering it back to the place where it was..and the best way to secure it is ZIPTIES

I havent faced this problem yet but i have a R6B receiver without the case(weight savings), and to keep the antenna from coming off i have applied a little epoxy at the solder joint. Does the job and you only need a little.

Just remove the antenna and resolder it carefully and put some hot glue or epoxy at the place of soldering. And if you are going to put it back in the case then use some hut glue to place it firmly in it.

Well I had a came across this a lot of times... And the fix apparently is quite ease. There is only very less chances for the antenna to come from soldering pads, what usually happens is it breaks at the edge where the coaxial cable comes out of the receiver case - one can fix this cutting the wire at damaged part , desolder the remaining from the receiver and solder the newly cut end back there . but only problem is when you do this for many time, the antenna cable will become very short you won't be able to move it around.

My fellow rcians here has their own ways to secure the antenna with out coming off from that weak point (the place where the wire just comes out of receiver case) some uses thicker zip ties to support the antenna or some ties the antenna to the side of receiver... And so on...
What you should make sure is not to move the antenna wire much around that weak point .
