FMS is not working on windows 8 what to do it shows drd3llm is not loaded
My pc is not detecting my radio I bought an RC simulator cable from rcforall today
Try some other simulator...FMS is too old for windows 8... we windows xp patrons can stil run it.. :D
Go for AFPD. Works great with Smart Propo Plus.
Whats afpd
My pc is not detecting my radio
AFPD = Aero Fly Pro Deluxe.
Which radio and cable are you using?
Rcb6i and fms cable
Did you check it on other operating systems? Maybe it's a compatibility issue.
No
I have got fms working but what about my radio its not being detected.
Can i use afpd with this setup
Yes, but your OS needs to detect the controller first.
Hey Swapnil,
I have both rcb6I and Flysky FS T6. any idea and suggestion for a simulator. have you tried either of them.
I use my Futaba 7CHP with AFPD and Smart Propo Plus instead of a PPM to USB interface.
My radio is being detected now what to do
the red led is blinking
Calibrate the sticks and switches.
how do i
There should be a controller configuration option in your control panel. Or you could do it in AFPD.
I am trying to do whats in this video but those blue bars are moving on its own. the red led is blinking non stop on the dongle

That means your controller isn't being detected by your PC.
what do you say about this
how did you download afpd

what do you say about this
Hmmm. Then your PC isn't reading the sticks properly. Try tinkering with the controller settings.
I didn't download AFPD. I won it in the '1st sweepstakes'. ;D
how do I. I can't get this thing working
Without looking at your setup I can't provide much help. Isn't there some RCI member in your city you could ask to come over and check?
Well i dont know
I can upload a video if you want
It could be a driver issue. Try updating the controller driver.
A video won't reveal much. Someone needs to be there personally and examine the setup. Do try it on another PC with Windows 7 or XP.
Microsoft dropped retained mode rendering from Directx with Windows Vista.. You need to download d3drm.dll from here,
http://www.microflight.com/s.nl/ctype.KB/it.I/id.1390/KB.1034/.f (http://www.microflight.com/s.nl/ctype.KB/it.I/id.1390/KB.1034/.f)
and put it in C:\windows\system32 and c:\windows\syswow64 (on a 64 bit system).
PS: if you have an Nvidia graphics card, textures will not display so turn them off...
@girish sir I got it working yesterday.
@swapnil sir from where can I download the drivers
the dongle which I have has a joint which is sealed with heat shrink between the dongle and the 3.5mm jack.
Can the problem be with the dongle.
what about teamviewer
I am going the smartpropoplus route
has anyone used sppp with win 8 if yes can you tell me the procedure.
I guess the problem is with the tx
Nitesh,
There is another route called "Fly it in the Ground" which is much better than this. all that you need to do is to design a pusher model that can bear the crash to an extent. try this, its much better.

+1 to ashok sir :D
ok so i got it installed the fms one not the generic.
winscope doesn't show any movement but ppm audio works very well.
Also in FMS calibration the blue bars move by themselves.
the problem was with the cable rcforall folks were kind enough to give a replacement.
It's working perfectly
I am confused if the problem was with the cable then when I tried smartpropoplus why didn't it work
I just checked the simulator cable that came with my E-Sky radio. It has a completely different pin configuration compared to my Sanwa SD 5G output even though they use the same connector.
The Sanwa connector has o/p as shown in the pic below while the sim cable has gnd on outer ring and signal on the gnd pin.

thanks for your support everyone

Well, Windows 7 shows a PPM controller icon even with the wrong wiring. I faced the same problem this morning. The controller was being detected but there were no stick movements. The problem was solved after rewiring the PPM to USB dongle.
I am using fms cable with phoenix 3.0 ;D ;D
