Fs-i6 tx not working.....
😞😞😞
what do u mean by not working...??
any errors ??
did you plug the battery with reverse polarity ??
Yes think
Can i get it repaired..??
take it to some gaming console repair shop....let them have a look....
if the charges are below 2000-1500 go for it.....if more than 2 k better go for a new radio...
sorry for ur loss dude
Ya bro i think need to go to some shop, bilal also said to do same..
First, open the radio yourself.
See if any plug has come undone or if any solder joint is broken.
It happens.
Hi guys,
I checked the images send by Kunal, from the images and the conversation I had with him, I think I've figured out what happened with the TX.
He tried connecting a 2S lipo to the TX, which caused the filter caps on the voltage regulator to blow. I opened up my TX to check what capacitors were used, but they have no markings on them, the voltage regulator though had 'LM1117' written on it.
A quick Google search revealed it to be a Low Dropout Linear Regulator, and the capacitors used are multi layer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) . But the data sheet of LM1117 proposed two circuits, one using a 10uf and a 100uf capacitor as filter cap on high and low end respective, and the other using 10uf capacitor on both the sides, so am not sure what exactly is used on the TX.
Is there as way to measure the capacitance without damaging the radio??
Image for reference
Check figure no 16
Those are caps for filtering purpose while the lm1117 (or AMS1117?) does the voltage regulation. The more the better, it will not affect the working of the tx. But even if the caps are blown, the circuit should work. Try to put 100uF on both sides.
he must have reversed polarity when trying to connect the lipo.
in that case you will have to replace the voltage regulator itself
assuming the tx runs on 3.3v any common 3.3v regulator will do . value of caps is not all that critical.
if planning to run on 2s lipo this is a good oppurtunity to fit a switched regulator

something like the above
Saikat sir, 3.3V or 5V ???
Besides, Kunal says he connected the lipo correctly and that the TX was switched on an working before he smelled something burning and the TC died. Looks like a case of overvolting to me.
you can adjust the output voltage to whatever required
also since the unit is a switched vr it is more efficient than a linear vr . no additional caps etc required.
... The link is just an example ... there are many shops selling these types of regulators.
Thanx a lot for the input sir
To confirm if the voltage regulator is the issue, power up the Tx and check the voltage on pin 1. It must be the battery voltage. If not, there might be a reverse polarity protection circuit before the regulator that must have blown. If you see the battery voltage on pin 1, check the voltage on pin 3. It must be a steady voltage above 3.3V. If not, the regulator is gone.
Raj , got ur pm for tx please pm me on whtsapp @9167764802
