Hi everyone
Has any one flashed a 9x FS or Turnigy ? With Open Er ?

SideWinder

Are you talking about Er9x or OpenTx/Open9x?
Both of them are flashed in the same way, need same hardware mods, but different software for flashing. So you can flash anyone of them, whenever you want.Open Tx has more options to play with, so is more advanced and complex as compared to er9x.

But if you are a beginner, start with Er9x, then if you feel the need try OpenTx.
Im using Er9x with Flysky 9x, and I dont even use half of the features available right now. Its really about your preference. But both of them are anytime better than stock firmware. Most of the data regarding the mod is available online, just gOOgle!

Thanks SideWinder ...
I did google and got quite a know how .. But was not sure where to get the hardware from the programmer board ... Plus am thinking of upgrading my radio to frsky module with telemetry... Which firmware do u suggest ?

SideWinder

I would suggest you to begin with Er9x. You can upgrade to OpenTx later since you would just need to plug the programmer and flash. Frsky module is great, even I intend to replace stock tx with frsky module and then do the telemetry mod.

You can find the programmer at ebay and LHS, you can also get 10 pin to 6 pin adapter, it just makes things a little easier. Anyways check the link below, first one is the programmer. If you can find them cheaper elsewhere,do let us know.

Go with what SideWinder says...you will need a usbasp programmer, a windows/linux based pc, a soldering iron and some fine soldering skills...
