I am not sure whether my antenna is broken or it is meant to be like this. Please help me out  :headscratch: :help:
Is it a friction fit and the coaxial wire does not touch the metal attached to the sma connector?
Very confused. I just noticed that there was a gap in between them.

Adityaamg

The 1st picture shows the gap.

Yes , it has broken! better to not use that one again!
use new 2.4Ghz 3 dBi rubber ducky antenna, i think its available in electronic shops or Ebay.
To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!

Looks like you dismantled it at the WRONG JOINT.
Tx will still work, but NOT SAFE TO FLY.

Sorry, My question is slightly off topic.
I would like to know in which transmitter this DJT or DFT modules are used and for what purpose ?

@rcparkjets
FrSky DFT module in my Hitec Optic 6.
Replaced original 72mhz module to convert to 2.4ghz.
DFT plugs right in without any mods.
Antenna is however at the bottom, haha
(DFT for Futaba, Hitec, DJT for JR)

rcparkjets

Thank you sir.
Is it for the purpose to avoid Futaba Transmitter to Futaba Receiver ?
So, we us Futaba Transmitter+Frsky DFT+Frsky receiver.
What is the advantage ?
Sorry for my dumb questions.

Upside down, sir that makes some difference in range ?
may be some issues in handling the TX.

@manojswizera
No range problem in a year of use.
Just have to move the antenna a little outward with the little finger...

I remember seeing a video of modifying the case to move the antenna to the top. Don't think it worth the effort.

@adityaamg
If you look closely, you'll find that the original i'm using looks just like that.

I don't know enough about replacement antennas to answer that. Sorry.
You'll have to ask some of the electronics gurus on the forum.

SideWinder

Aditya you would need antenna with an rp-sma connector, the one you have selected has an sma connector
Something like this

EDIT: On second thought can you put a pic with close up of the connector either on the module or antenna, cannot exactly make out if its sma or rp-sma.

Adityaamg

i thank all of you for your kind support. i ordered an genuine Frsky antenna to eliminate any misunderstanding in choosing the correct antenna. i thought that will be the best idea.
