Hi All
I want to purchase Futaba 7C 2.4 GHz Radio from Tower Hobbies . My Brother will carry with him if he is satisfied that it is under the rules.
I want to provide him FCC Certificate for Futaba 7C 2.4 Ghz .
Anyone have FCC code for Futaba 7C 2.4 Ghz ? Kindly provide .
Also is this radio WPC approved ?
Although i checked in this forum on " http://www.rcindia.org/rc-locations-and-clubs/recognition-of-aero-modellers-association-of-india-(n-delhi)-by-aci/msg20965/#msg20965 " , it is not listed there.
Also i will provide him a noticification from Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing)
New Delhi dated 28th January, 2005 for 2.4 ghz radio,s.
Are these sufficient?
Or any other approval for it?
Dear All
Code I found on internet is AZPTMSS2-24G .
Hoping it is correct.
One more link for License free 2.4 GHz frequency..
http://www.indiasemiconductorforum.com/showthread.php/321-List-of-Licence-free-frequencies-in-India-for-Wireless-usage
Technically not enough as I know it .
The Logic goes like this :
As a user you dont need a license for 2.4 G provided the product is technically within the specification specified Under the delicensing circular of 2005 .
But as an importer you need a license from WPC after ETA ( Equipment type approval ).
Which put simply means that WPC has to confirm and certify that the equipment conforms to the specification specified Under the delicensing circular of 2005 .
For a single radio you can get it thru using this circular at most airports other than Mumbai where I am told the customs are much more aware of the rule requiring WPC approval.

Futaba 7c 2.4 Ghz radio has ETA approval ?
How can I confirm ?
Visited WPC website..
but no result?
If it is not in the library it is not ETA cleared.
Further the ETA will be granted to and Indian Company or individual authorized by the company , hence even if it approaved you will have to find out to whom and then request them for a copy of the ETA and then apply for license.

Futaba 7c 2.4 Ghz radio has ETA approval ?

But the WPC site seems to be non-responsive.
FCC code for Futaba 7c 2.4 Ghz ?
The FFC ID seems to be AZPTMSS2-24G
So go to this page : https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm
And search with just the top two fields... Grantee code is "AZP" and Product code is "TMSS2-24G"
In the search results, click on details. You can see a list of documents, including the "Authorization Letter from Futaba submitted to FCC", a link to which is given below.
https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplicationAttachment.html?id=853023
and photos of the equipment submitted :
https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplicationAttachment.html?id=853026
https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplicationAttachment.html?id=853027
In the search results, there is "Display Grant", and that gives you the actual FCC approval :
https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/tcb/reports/Tcb731GrantForm.cfm?mode=COPY&RequestTimeout=500&tcb_code=&application_id=520662&fcc_id=AZPTMSS2-24G
An interesting thing is that the FCC approval notice itself (last link above) says the antenna should be 20cm away from persons :o
Wonder why it is so ? Interference ? Radiation effects on human health ?
Thanks Anwar Sir for your fast response...
Will try to convince my brother by these documents...
Thanks again sir...
