Title: Help please - Receiver turning off with two servos
Post by: samjoseph123 on September 19, 2016, 12:37:44 AM
Hellp everyone,i have a pistol 3ch tx and rx.its not branded or anything, but does its job.now off lately,i have been facing issues with the receiver turning off, when I use both the servos at once, its on my nitro car btw,but then when I turn off and back on,it works fine again and the process repeats.can the servo load affect the supply to the receiver.any solutions?

Its because receiver is not able to supply both the servos at once.
Servo current draw varies from 0.5A to 2A so when using 2 servos the current draw is very high and receiver might have been experiencing a voltage sag and receiver turns off. Try having a seperate source for servos.

Topic name updated... how difficult is it to put a meaningful topic name other than just "help please" !!!!

Since you're saying that you're using nitro car, I've the right solution. I assume that you're using a normal eveready cells x 4 for rx supply. These are normal zinc-carbon and cannot provide the high currents required by the servos. My suggestion is to switch to NiMh/NiCd battery pack for Rx power. Or as a quick fix you can use Duracell batteries. Duracell will work good. If you're going for NiMh battery, look for hump back packs.

Yes santhosh is correct

If the problem persists after changing the battery pack

You might want to add a power distribution board
