the knowledge i gain in last 2 days from this site, seems that wpc certi is not only belongs to specific radio model/verson but it also belongs to the seller/ the shopper who applied for its worthiness......means even a person tend to import a radio tx- the model which is already approved by WPC one MUST purchase it from the "respective" importer(who took trouble for the approval) only then and then the radio is legal to use in India...seems funny but ...

please tell me, if i misinterprinted forums.....

hi ,
Seem to be logical , as the seller has invested in the permission, with time and money ,so it is fair for him earn out of it .

..aggred that may be  trader invested but it should not meant that individual should be troubled when attempt to import directely...what about enthus like we alll..... and do the regulation WPC is for the profit of tradder. tradder must be fair enough and try to earn from the person who wants goods with trader's responsibilities.. otherwise one day will come that individual person will not able to fly with the radio of his own CHOICE. He must be depend on the goods availble in such LHS.

Please read this post... it should clarify this issue once and for all.

simple question- pl explain me WPC  belongs to a specific model of a radio or  also necessary to buy from specific trader who invested time and money for the approval?

I am not sure more can be said about this than what is mentioned in the SIMPLE post that I linked to earlier :)

First of all, what is it that you mean by "WPC" ? If it is just the ETA ("equipment type approval") of a particular model, then it is not tied to a particular importer/shop (AGAIN, as already mentioned in the earlier post).

If you mean "full legality" in terms of owning and operating a radio, you need

[1] a radio model with ETA (regardless of who applied for and got the ETA)

AND

[2] either YOU need a personal import license OR you should buy from a store that imported such a radio with ETA with THEIR import license.  Import license is needed for every batch/item that you import.

In short... just read that post carefully !

unfortunately question is not answered yet............. List of radios with WPC/ ETA is not yet seen here. pl seniors, "encourge traders (who are avilable on rcindia ) to display  radios' info with WPC/ETA, they sell"
