I got my new RC Transmitter today.  Its a HITEC Aurora 9.  Courtesy Sharma Models who got it for me.....

Its got a very powerful computer like features with complete custom assignment for all switches and controls.

Vivek Sharma says that this is best in the market....

Well... had purchased my Set from www.sumeeteshop.com at Kolkatta and was very happy to get it delivered to me at Jodhpur.  I am here presently to take care of my aged father who lives here, incidental I do belong to this place and have grown up with the Sharma's in the hobby. 
The sad part of the set is..... after charging my set for the first time it is giving me a host of problems.... biggest that it is just not working.
When i put it on in no transmit mode and switch it off it does not go off and the screen remains blank all the times.  In case i go into the transmit mode it shows an error message as it would normally show in case the throttle was not closed or some programme switch was selected on....  The set this time goes off when switched off.

I am quite frustrated about it as have spent a lot of money on it.  Can someone help me in telling me what is the problem.... Sumeet... well... says that i should wait for some time and he will try and do something..... does not appear much convincing to me..

Had to buy the set from Sumeeteshop because the Sharma's to not have it in store right now...

Corrected....yes as per the distributes of Hitec as given in the Hitec website http://hitecrcd.com/contact-us/international-distributors Sumeet Instruments and Chemicals (www.sumeeteshop.com) is an authroised distributer of Hitec items....  I brought it from him as other vendors in India did not have the sat in stock.

Hitec has a forum/helpline system on the web. It is just some setting, or maybe a software update is needed.

BTW which RX are you using?

can you post some pictures of the exact error you are getting, i had A9 for a short while but its with my friend now and check the battery with load outside the transmitter.

Hmm may be the RF module or transmitter are not programmed correctly or miss match in revision.

Well I am having only one Rx with me that is the one supplied with the Tx Set i.e. the 9 channel Optima supplied in the same box.  The box contains one Wall charger, one Optima 9 Rx, a heavy duty switch and the Hitec module is attached to the set.

I had received the set on 06 Dec at Jodhpur and from the 08 dec it started to give me problems.  The issues was checked out by Mr Vivek Sharma who incidentally is one of the distributes of Hitec equipment, and so is Sumeet Instruments and Chemicals of Kolkatta.  I have checked out the set with a different battery taken from Sharma's and the error continues.  Sumeet had advised use of another battery.  Still no progress and they problems remained.

My contention is that the Set is just 2 days old and not used even once.  It was just charged once.  Maybe its just a programme glitch and needs the firmware to be reinstalled.  I have asked Summet to do the needful but I am a lot confused with his answer...............

Have just received a mail from Sumeet that he would check my set and if required refund my 25 Grands.... Some good news.  I am highly oblige by the respnsibility taken by Mr Sumeet.  But being an avid Aeromodeller, I would be happy if I can get a replacement set rather than my money back.  getting the set is of more importance to me than the refund.....

The first picture shows a garbled screen picture and the second picture shows a blank screen which should not be so.  There are a few more similar issues.... hopefully just an issue of reloading the firmware and not much.

also try this

a. remove the tx module
b. switch on the tx / switch off the tx (not immediately)
c. replace the module

Thanks for your support Saiket..... highly appreciated.   To me and Mr Vivek Sharma also it appears to be the same.  Unfortately we do not have the HPP 22 pc interface which is needed for the upgrade.  As the set is brand new and been with me for just 4 days till now.  I have asked Mr Sumeet to look into it before we tamper with anything on the set.  Sumeet has been kind enough to ask for the return of the set to fix up the issue.  In fact he had taken it up with the HITEC distributers i.e. either with Penny Park, or Collin Lee or the sales department Shawn Spiker for advice. 
I am sending the set back to him and expect him to fix the firmware.  If not then he has agreed to return the money paid by me.  The only thing I would be happy with is a replacement of the set as am more interested in having that new set than my money back.  In fact me and Gaurav Aggarwal at Allahabd along with other friends were planning for an excellent day of flying on the 25 of Dec.  I hope to have my new set by then...

Thanks a lot Sahilkit..... I will remember this offer of your... As of now I have sent the set back to Sumeet for him to sort out the issue or to refund the money, but I would prefer that either the set is set right or a replacement is given to me.

I am hopeful that Sumeet will do the needful and help me.  We had a long talk and he has agreed to assist me.  So gracious of him.

My Set has been received by Sumeet on Saturday..... lets see what he can make out of the problem and how does he solves it... if not when does he give me a replacement set for it.  I was wanting my new set for the Christmas day fly off we had planned here at Allahabad........... Lets see how and what Sumeet does in helping me use my new RC Set.
