Title: problem in connection servo (aileron) to rx
Post by: prateek katiyar on March 25, 2014, 08:27:46 PM
The wing uses two servos for the ailerons and with that said there is two connectors to be connected to the rx. My question is do I connect both servo connectors to the rx in two different channels? Or do I get a y connector and plug them into that and then plug the y connector into channel 1 for ailerons?

Hello Prateek,
You can go for any of the two methods you mentioned provided you have right stuff for it. Using a Y connector, most easy one.
Just connect your servo to the Y connector and plug it in channel 1. If you don't have a Y connector then order one for you or otherwise what I usually prefer, make one for yourself. You'll be needing just few servo extension cables(Generally, three). Lots and lots of videos are there on youtube.
OR
you could use mixing feature if you have a programmable radio. In this, one servo goes to channel 1 and the other to channel 6(usually in almost every brand) and then refer the manual for mixing.
:hatsoff:

@prateek katiyar
Since you have 2 aileron servos, might as well take advantage of it.
Use Y cable if yourradio is only 4 channel.
If you have a computer radio with 6 channels, put one servo in ch 1 and the other in ch 5 or 6.
Channel selection depends on radio make and whether you use aileron differential or flaperons or camber or crow.
Read the manual. Pm in case of doubt.
Luck!
