How large your plane is ? I have not felt any requirement for this as I use maximum 1.5 mts. We can see the plane direction of movement upto a certain range, beyond which, we cannot realize the shape and have to consider the movement only.

I am not discourage you but I felt never the requirement of the problem when it is 2.4GHz. The range issue comes only with failure of ESC (BEC Section) and low battery to me for which the Tx/Rx pair cannot be blamed.

And, the Tx modules (Truely speaking RF Amplifier) used in RCB6i, 7 and Turnigy9x are more or less similar and works on 5 volt. As it works with 4 AA size battery, you please use duracell or NiMH battery and not NiCD battery.

And another thing to mention, sometime some programmable board malfunction, but the cause is not the Tx/Rx Pair. If still any range issue occur please contact RCBazaar. Some very good persons are sitting there to solve the particular problem as far as I know while chatting on their site.
