Arun - with this Tx one has the unique capability of conducting a 'reduced Tx power range test'. What this means is that the flyer can reduce the transmitting power of the set and carry out the range test from a much more (practical) shorter distance. From this distance, one can hear the engine noises and see the movements of the control surfaces.

With other transmitters, the range test involves going the distance and having someone else call out the results while you calibrate the Tx.

I will attempt to elucidate further once I get to take it to the field. For me to do a range test practically now is next to impossible for a few reasons - inclement weather as it is pouring cows and buffaloes in Guwahati, there is a medical emergency in the family and flying is the last thing on my mind now.

From the initial feel of the set -at the quoted price of Rs.2650/- this is nothing short of a STEAL.

Will continue this review soon.

Sir I have seen a few comments that this set will be good for the newbies to this hobby. Can you please tell me how to add a Simulator to this transmitter so that I can learn how to fly using this set ? This will come as a great help to me. Please add all accessories I would require ,with links where relevant.

Thanks Arun. Will convey your good wishes.

rc_novice, I quote from page 17 of the manual supplied:

"DSC CONNECTOR FOR SIMULATOR/S"

Although fully digital, your transmitter is equipped with a connector named DSC (Direct Servo Control) delivering a PPM signal for controlling analog (sic!) simulator on PC...........................To initiate the PPM signal, insert the 3.5mm cord into the jack DSC connector then turn on the transmitter."

I guess RCBazaar will be the place to enquire about the 3.5mm jack / cord.

Sir please excuse my ignorance. Should I need to download a free flight simulator from internet ? Can you please give a few names /links etc or  I need to buy a flight simulator instead. In that case what can be bought and Where should I inquire for that ?

As an expert to this hobby do you recommend this Tx set for a newbie like me ?

Sorry being late , but I pray for quick recovery of whom ever got the medical emergency....

@novice - First - I am NO expert. There are a lot of free simulator software available on the net. I have them but don't use them. Second - I don't have the 3.5mm cord. if I did, I would have hooked it up and given you a positive clarification on the subject. Let me check with RCB and get back to you on this.

From what I saw on Brian's video and my initial feel of the Tx, I doubt if a beginner will get a better radio than this. It is a fully digital programmable radio and is sold for 70 Euro in Europe. However, unless I use it to fly (or get a more experienced flyer to test it) a model, the review will remain incomplete and it wouldn't be correct on my part to guarantee anything.

@nitesh - Thanks buddy.

@rc novice you can use with any simulator dongle with available simulator software like 9 in 1 simulator available with RC Bazaar or RCD. You have to connect the dongle with radio using a 3.5 headphone jack interconnecting cable. The pins in DSC ports are ground, PPM En & PPM out.

LOL... it's a Chinese duplicate model of fly-dream F6TB. The RCBazaar is selling by replacing the stickers and by making new boxes under the name of Avionics...   ;D ;D ;D :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

@SaurIMX So you are very happy buying it online with shipping and take the risk of loss enroute further wait endlessly for the Customs to clear it ( I hope you know the customs have an embargo on import of radios) get yourself a WPC clearance. Even if you are able to clear customs by paying a hefty customs duty at the whims and fancy of customs. At the end of it all even if you are lucky to get the radio past all the hurdles you are with zero back up support of a local agencies and when something goes wrong then blame it on cheap chinese product.  :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: ;D ;D ;D

Why can't you be just be happy that one of our Local Hobby Shop has taken all the trouble to get it to your doorstep with all the backup support and with WPC clearance at such a competitive pricing with such cool features within the reach of every aspiring/ budding aeromodeller.

Hear hear Sundaram sir!  :salute: :salute:

Once asked whether a film made by him had copied the story idea from an International Film, Gulzar replied that there were only 2 original scripts in the world, Mahabharata and Ramayana. Similarly......

Thanks Guys and VC for this review.... i had to intervene here due to comments from people saurIMX as sometimes people like these are usually best at one thing "Cynicism"... People like these need to be stated that it took us more 7 months with the French and the manufacturers to develop and design this product... we have had these radios in our store undergoing tests for more than 6 months (I am sure some of our customers in Bangalore had seen this radio months earlier)...
also i fail to understand on people being negate on we trying to build a Indian brand (where as applause is given by the same group when done abroad... classic example flysky radio branded as turnigy).... so what do you expect us to do?... open a factory for producing radios ????????
we run through the pain of getting the wpc approvals (which is another nightmare) and bearing the dollar brunt, shipping cost and VAT and income tax at the end of year and operational costs of high rents plus we have a dedicated team of 9 people at RcBazaar and still we decide to price this at rs 2650 so that only our Indian RC beginner's benefit from this.... and we benefit in monetary terms "baba ji ka *&^%)  :) on this radio..
We are quite happy with what we are doing as we see international customers and other international firms asking us about our avionic or hiller or wolfpack products and for the first time we feel that there is "some" identity of rc products from our country...
if i decide to close rcbazaar I will surely loose money but people like you need to take a step back and think "where will I get products at such ease, support and prices??"

enough said from myside...

Please never ever think of the "c" word again :D

Rooster

@Sujju I saw this radio during my last visit to your Store. .it is simply superb and a great value for money.. you have done a brilliant job in making this hobby affordable

saikat

sujju - how about restocking on the heli kits and spares.

also - well done on the TX .... ignore the cynics ....

Sujju

Don't pay heed, you are and should be way above these jibes and 'unglis' people keep doing. flying giants, rcg all over people critisize even brands like JR XG14 (futaba fan boys) and vice versa. My piece should be on the way i guess, i intend giving it to Vineet along with Ryan, let us see how does this radio fair with a child.

PS

this is the first post of our man, figure for yourself

Hello Sir,
I have read the manual of rcb6i.Is it right that i comes with a 6 month warranty. :) :).Looking for it as my first radio.

RcBazaar

Thanks everyone.. ayush, yes it comes with a 6 month warranty.

RCNeil21

Very good initiative sujju sir. I saw the menu functions on brians review, i am no pro. But because it is designed for the newcomers i think it should be more intuitive.  :)
And functions like model name should have full alphabetical flexibility. As a beginner wants to remember the model name with ease and give it a personal name which might suggest which model it is. No offence meant here sujju sir.

But still awesome work sir thanks for contributing so much to the hobby.
